let me ask you some supporting questions: - which crypto currencies does slush support via pooled mining? - how many times did slush or stick mentioned alt.coins? I have doubts that this wallet will serve them. they focus on one solid product for bitcoins. no distractions. |

Technically there's no reason why TREZOR could not support Litecoins or any other alternative coins.
The reality is, there are no legitimate use cases for these alternative coins so we are focusing just on Bitcoin right now. Adding support later is just a matter of a simple firmware update.

Given that Litecoin is wire-compatible with Bitcoin outside of the block headers, I would suspect that Trezor can already be used for it without any firmware changes. There's hardly any difference at all.

Did this end up getting to Kickstarter? I could not find it but how does the saying go "shut up and take my money!" We sent all required materials to Kickstarter a few days ago. We hoped the campaign will be approved prior the San Jose Conference, but it seems Kickstarter is taking its time. We do believe it'll be online next week - keep your eyes open for updates. It'll be dust proof but not water proof. The device has no battery in this version, so you cannot "just use bluetooth instead of USB". |
