I have 1 of each type of Trezor on preorder. I will sell and accept original BTC costs to transfer the order prior to shipping (for 1 or both), so you would recieve direct from Trezor. PM me if interested. Happy to use escrow.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Stop making these ridiculous remarks.
These guys are making good progress on an important asset to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Why is it ridiculous? It's a fair comparison. BFL was "making good progress on an important asset to the bitcoin ecosystem" too. I just keep seeing different excuses - it's the plastic cases, no we're fixing bugs in the firmware, no it's the cases again. I paid 6 bitcoins last summer with the expectation receiving my Trezors in October. A few more months and they'll have tied BFL for longest preorder. At least I've leaned a valuable lesson this time - wait for the product to not be vaporware before I spend my bitcoins.

So you should pre-order one now, as the officially showed the device ..

oh wait ... pre-order is closed .. too bad!

With BFL you were loosing revenue while waiting longer for your device to arrive, if you cannot see the difference then you maybe shouldn't have pre-ordered this product in the first place.

I'm also eager to receive my device, but I do understand that delivering this product only when it is rock solid in performance and security is key!
There is no gain in receiving this product when it is not completely ready.

Besides I'm sure that you can sell your pre-order easily for the dollar amount you paid, you might even make a little profit.

I'm a software developer, why can't I opt in to receive mine early? I have no problem upgrading firmware down the road.

Yeah, good idea, I'll just sell my preorder now for 1/5 of what I paid!

I think I will be able find plenty of people willing to buy a clasic pre order for 200 USD and a metal pre order for 400 USD.

About the "I paid more BTC" part... Well, that is something you know in advance. I bought some BTC especially for this hardware wallet. I was not using my "bitcoin hodl stack" Wink

yeah I am even getting a little upset now, in the beginning I would have explain to you how you invested in a hardware startup and it isn't easy. Well now I am out 3 BTC and this device still hasn't come they missed many deadlines and now we don't even have a deadline. I wish I could get my bitcoins back but that isn't an option, as they were used to build this device.

I wish stick and slush would give at least a target date to get these shipped. Mike Hearn got his already for free... Kinda disappointed when I saw that. People that paid are still waiting and he got his already for free? But you going to do nothing just have sit here and take it. Worst investment I ever made.

So then he got his early, I do have my own sources that could be wrong that told me this information. Still unacceptable in my eyes, can you at least give a target date for shipping?

why are the devs so quiet?? an update every second week would be fine. but we get nothing. maybe there is nothing new to report because nobody is working on it. looks like a hobby project with "lets get some work done next saturday...oh wait no... lets drink some beer"

some weeks ago i read about the product is ready but the plastic case wasnt manufactured in the right way. i think that was a lie. it cant be that plastic cases need months to produce...

It is my understanding that the plastic Trezors aren't 3D printed (not sturdy enough), but injection molded. Manufacturing a die for moulding definitely could take months, especially if the geometry of the design is difficult to mould properly. I remember from my earlier discussion here about the eyelet that one of the original designs was atrociously bad as far as reliable manufacturability.

If these things are a half as good as they would appear/promise to be I could see them selling like hotcakes. I'm very interested personally - especially the possibility of the merging with Dark Wallet.

If the price was right I could see me buying several - for friends and family, thereby helping spread the BTC message.

So what timescale are we talking here - and what price level, given lets say 500$/BTC  ??

There is a thread of some guy claiming to be shipping on the 4/21 as reseller

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568910.msg6228410#msg6228410

his name is Stevenrm87 and he has been frequenting the trollbox chat on btc-e advertising his site as delivering trezor devices on the 4/21.

could the devs please confirm if there are any resellers out there which could possibly meet this date, especially the one mentioned in the thread linked above?

I am leaning hard towards this being a scam attempt... but asking here just for the off-chance it might be legit.

They stated in this topic that there are no resellers at the moment. Let me find that post for you Can't find it at the moment and to lazy to continue.

Also, he sells them for 0.5BTC or 0.75BTC. That either means he bought them in the beginning when 1BTC was extremly cheap, he bought plastic ones during the two-for-one action or he is a big fat scammer with a good looking website. I'm going for the last option.

If he is legit,  he would also need to create new cases, because the plastic Trezor first edition will be black...

(so he is obviously a scammer)

there is always NO reaction to this type of questions here. unfortunately the guys from trezor think its better to NOT provide any updates even if they were online 5 minutes ago. this is so bad. cant believe i gave them money

Or possibly they are working and the minutae of what they did yesterday is irrelevant to this forum?

BTW gweedo has been on my ignore list for a long time now, because he simply trolls and makes things up.

Jesus, gweedo. Come down.

The device is real and awesome (I have one of the developer units). If slush and stick don't post here, there's probably nothing important to say and they and the other people helping them are probably putting their energy into solving the remaining issues, which I prefer.

Have some confidence and patience... The device will not become less useful over time.
