I am sure that all this happened because the user is not too versed in securing their wallets, because I always see that everyone who experienced a hacked always has the security is not good. I was thinking that too. Using mainly fiat and btc as a substitute.

If one buy a computer at 1000$ and choose to pay with 1.71 btc it's fine. if after 1 week he want his money back because BTC increased his value and, lets say, 1 BTC is 1000$, his refund will be 1 BTC and not 1.71.
If 1000$ is worth 2 BTC, he will have 2 btc instead of 1.71... not good, but I guess this is as far as we can go with this unstability.
Maybe I should convert BTC in fiat daily using some service... need to make some tests.

Yes 1 confirmation is more then enough for merchants to deliver the goods to the customers as looking at transaction in their wallet they will be ensure that their payment is not going anywhere.

Especially if they have a shipping address, even if there is some fraud involved with the transaction, they could still sue the buyer.
And yeah, I'm aware that they could also use fake addresses, but that's pretty difficult to do, I think.

Yeah i think this is the usage of bitcoin for costumers if they can not transfer of buy using their credit card they can use bitcoin as alternative because they are halving some issue in credit also advantage using bitcoin to buy stuff they are giving some promo and low price for the product. that you can save more money..
