I don't know about the others but I am using it mainly for gambling purpose as it provides my privacy to gamble without disclosing my identity and even no one around me is aware that I am into gambling.

If merchants will have to add bitcoin in their payment method, they need your personal information, at least to protect their clients and consumers security so overall it's not an overall anonymous.

Also they need to comply in their respective country's law so it's a must.

The wallets are relatively easy to use, yes, but people would more than likely use Bitcoin a lot of the time for discounts and other similar bonuses to their purchase. If there were high enough discounts I'm quite sure a ton of people would be incentivized to start using Bitcoin.
