Why would customers use Bitcoins?

I came to figure out, why would a consumer/customer use Bitcoins?
You have to pay the 3 cent fee, while you dont have to pay anything when paying with a credit card.

So what is really a benefit for using Bitcoins, customer wise?

most important benefit for bitcoins users is that it is very easy to use bitcoins, it is very easy to pay with them, and for sellers it is very easy to accept payment from buyers

also benefit for buyers is that they don't have to carry money, only their phone is enough, as they can download app for phone and to pay, this is really huge benefit too

Yeah this is different advantages than other services like paypal that you can bring bitcoin anytime just you have internet in your mobile and bitcoin  wallet apps but the problem is we have few stores are accepting bitcoin here in my country no stores locally accepting bitcoin as payment unlike brazil..

yeah, bitcoin is really great that you nearly dont have to pay any fees and that allows a lot of users use bitcoins for free, in my opinion it allows you to use it without any losses

Actually it's free on the side of customers, it's the merchant who pays the fee in fiat transactions. With BTCBTCBTC it's the other way around.
Fiat/card transactions are instant.

@ontopic IMO It's because with btc you can bypass currency exchange fees, which tends to be costly when done by payment processors.

There isnt any forex fee because its the same globally.    But there is a charge to turn it back into a national currency of course, ideally this would never happen but it does eventually.   We'll see more efficiency and worth to bitcoin the more purposes we can give people to stop them using it for change back to cash notes.

I think that expanded use increases the velocity of Bitcoin montarybase like MPG on a car or something, its almost something extra free if its run well; which kinda 'magically' helps increase coin value way beyond what it might have started off as.   Not sure how to describe this, maybe someone clever at economics would know exactly but bitcoin utility helps us all I think


The Credit Card fee idea is not correct from what I can see.  The cost is to the retailer, its true but in turn the company will pass this cost onto its customers.    Same deal applies to sales taxes usually, the company is liable for this and I know they stick it on your bill but its basically the same thing.
The mitigating factor would be credit bills have no cash handling cost like coins do, it helps the company with its cashflow immediately.  So that has a worth to the company.

The instant payment is yes and no because a credit card will reverse the transaction on a retailer.  Its instant and sometimes its gone, never occurs due to fraud usually.   Bitcoin doesnt have this problem and of course if you wanted to take a risky instant pay you can always just accept the coin at face value and run after them down the street if the blockchain never confirms.  
I believe they sell coffee this way, nobody waits 5 mins for the next block to say the dollar bill cleared

Anonymity is not always good. That's the start of money laundering and fraud.

E.g online shopping merchants needs customer's information even they will pay in bitcoin so that it's a good reference or basis if ever something unusual will happened.

is it bitcoin remain anonymous if the site requires personal data to register on the site? how to anonymous users who want facilities in bitcoin? of course they do not get it if sites want their personal information? What do you think ?

For me it's best for customers to use bitcoins as another currency or payment method because it's fast and also has a low fees which is best for other kind of customer who want to save some money. And also because it's anonymous and doesn't need to reveal identity to just pay the things that bought.

Right now customers won't experience much profit on using bitcoin, because only limited acceptance of bitcoin is found in several business. Only after getting strong number of user adoption bitcoin usage will be advantageous for customers.

Its because bitcoins is much faster and much reliable. Unlike credit cards bitcoin usage is more practical. Even though it has a fee but bitcoins price is increasing so it doesnt matter. Its also much easier to make a bitcoin wallet than to apply for a credit card. Bitcoin has an instant advantage compare to credit card. As long as you have an internet and a mobile unit you are good to go.

You Misunderstand this buddy. bitcoin has low fee but it is not free. I didn't see anyone who can use bitcoin for free? you must have to pay a fee if you want that your transaction to be done.
a 10K to 30K satoshi fee is necessary for this. you can send with lower fee but the transaction will take too much time if you reduce the fee.
but yes. as the above user said bitcoin is the most cheapest way of pay online. and that's why I started using bitcoin and using till now..
this is the main point a customer should use bitcoin I guess.

Here for much clearer statement, a merchant even they have a payment method option bitcoin really needs it's clients personal information. This is to protect their customers in case of a fraud. That is a common practice in an online merchant that deals with the transaction of buying goods.

yes it is a fact and they are also using it because they have an advantagge to us it and that is they they willl not feel the need to change the bitcoin in any other currency. they can use it directly from any part of the world.
