Are there problems with the stratum server?
I mine (scrypt) since the beginning of zpool and check my log files every few days.
Now I can not connect to stratum server. I have not changed my hardware or software.

[2016-02-25 11:10:20] Starting Stratum on stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:3433
[2016-02-25 11:10:50] Stratum connection failed: Connection timed out after 30001 milliseconds
[2016-02-25 11:10:50] ...retry after 5 seconds

What about my problem? I want to mine at your pool or it is not more possible for me?

I use Minera at the latest version with cpuminer. It worked well...

Please help me! THX.

Things were working pretty nicely at first, then suddenly payouts just stopped.  I've received no wallet payouts for 12 days now, meanwhile the pool reports a steadily-increasing balance (showing ~3.61 LTC unpaid as of this post).

My wallet address is LU2b4ZVEaciNskdD2MpfimtjgFzhiy7jsi

I am not sure which part you are referring to; by all indications there and on the regular "Wallet" page, there should be little delay.  12 days is an awful long time to wait.

There is not enough history on the "Wallet" page (or no obvious link) to see whether the unpaid balance is delayed due to immature coins, waiting-on-exchange, etc., so I recommend adding something next to "Total Unpaid" indicating those totals.

hi crackfoo - I created a new BTC account for decred mining (1PWDb9vr8PFkAmfqJsfYd3v8okqcmLerc8)
It has been hashing off and on with low end GPUs, with ccminer/pwd=BTC, but i don't see action on the BTC rewards pending.
This may sound lame question, is decred traded and exchanged like the other coins, to generate profits converted into BTCs, like my other account? If yes, I think I gotto move them DCR back to main account... Thanks

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

It is exchanged like all the rest. Credits can't be moved between different addresses. I would simple wait till you have at least 0.0001 and clear it out on the Sunday payments.

Hi CF,
I have moved the DCR rigs to point to my previous account.
The dust in 2nd account is 0.00021939 BTC, which will probably clear during weekend (today?)
Thanks!

Thats right, I'm on the road so forgot it was even Sunday, hah. But it needs to mature first, so probably next Sunday.

FWIW:
When our pool is ~50TH plus or minus 10TH;  profitability is much greater it seems.  Although the day before the last 24Hrs and the last 12 hours, was more profitable per-coin in the pool statistics.

Even given the above statement:
I still get the honest feeling overall;  that 50TH is the "sweet spot" for profitability on a pool;  as in;  the end user gets the most benefit from "pool luck" compared to lower or higher hashrates.

Pooled mining should reduce luck variance. However, the pool needs to have enough hash power to push through the more difficult coins, but not too much so that is pushes all coins difficulty so high that they become less profitable than mining bitcoin directly.
Talking about luck, been doing some solo mining now and again. In around 12 hours of Qubit mining DGB, the GTX680 had hit two blocks. Then, in the space of 12 minutes, the less powerful R7 260X hit 3 blocks. Then nothing for several hours since. So this lucky run has already beat what I would expect from zpool, but then a previous run against MYR brought in much less. Mining pools reduce that variance.

Scaling and transaction rate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=532.msg6306#msg6306
Do not allow demand to exceed capacity. Do not allow mempools to forget transactions. Relay all transactions. Eventually confirm all transactions.

I'm referring to the non-BTC payouts part on http://www.zpool.ca/

LTC isn't being mined.

In that case, and since a previous message from you to someone else here said LTC probably won't be mined anytime soon, I would appreciate a manual payout/top-up.  I have switched to a BTC address (19H3ELfNia1WmSMcKgv1NFpmqconcnPWAW) for future payouts.

Yeah, it's sunday;  no micro payments today.   Kinda strange...

My guessing it has to be an issue with the February calculation =)

No, I just moved it later to see if it only happens once.

If you are mining with a DCR address, please switch to BTC. The wallet for DCR is pretty buggy and payouts are not working as they should be.

Hi, have a question/problem with my S5 everytime I try to point it a zpool.ca on the status page I see it as connected to the pool but gh/s is falling to 0gh/s, when I point it to any other pool he's hasing no problem, am I the only one with this problem.

My S1, S3 are all fine, just my S5 that has this problem and only on this pool weird......

Even tried to run a proxy at home and pointed my S5 to my proxy same result 0gh/s when on zpool

Today I just try to point my S5 to http://hashpower.co/ which seems to use the same scrypt/program whaterver it's called as a test and it's seemed to be working fine for a couple of minutes but then the same problem happened hashing rate dropping to 0gh/ with full of discarded packet with no more accepted packet

Any one here with S5 having them working on this pool.  I have 4 of them and they all doing the same thing Sad

Have you tried manually setting your diff? Some user's are using S7's so I would expect S5's to work....

I am new to all of this and just thinking about trying out a multipool.  What is a DCR address that was mentioned here?  Is that where the payout is done in a form of coin that we are mining other than BTC?  If that is the case any idea when the BCR payments will be fixed?  I am interested in a payout in coin that we mine vs going to BTC.  Thanks.

the DCR address mentioned would be your own that you put in your miner config
Is that where the payout is done in a form of coin that we are mining other than BTC?
Yes

Just use BTC payout for now add "c=BTC" to beginning of your password
