https://pivxscan.io/ is one the wrong chain, they probably missed to update to the current version.

If in doubt, this is always the reference: http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/block.php?searchinput=803183

reward 5 PIVX to someone who will help run the masternode.

If you still haven't solved this, go to the PIVX Slack and ask there. There are MANY more people there than here.

I already gave you my remote pivx.conf info. Here is my local pivx.conf, in case you can learn anything from it:

Code:
enableobfuscate=0
addnode=blahblahblah
addnode=blahblahblah
bantime=50
staking=1

Note that staking=1 isn't necessary anymore; this is just a leftover. Note also that there is nothing about masternode status, IPs, etc. What you see here is literally the only thing in the file. You need very little info here when you're running a remote masternode.

Then, my local masternode.conf is exactly based off the example:

Code:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:51472 masternodeprivkey txid 1

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:51472 masternodeprivkey txid 0

...

The masternode count went down from 2100 to 1500, now the count is higher than before the mandatory update, we have now about 2200 masternodes. I really wonder who buys in for a masternode at that price level. Now you have to spend 40.000 $, wich is quite a lot for a masternode.

Maybe those people bought in some time ago and never set up a masternode before.

Several weeks ago I bought enough PIVX to setup 2 masternodes, sofar I only used the coins for staking because this gives me almost the same reward but with a higher reward frequency. When more people start staking and staking becomes less profitable I will switch to MN.

redownloading the blockchain solved this issue, but I never expect there is 2 chain.

40k$ a lot ? what about 320k$ for a dash masternode ? The masternode count usually goes down severely when a hosting site goes down, it's not because people sell their MN (most of the time it's not selloff).

The owners thougth that PIVX is going to moon than they moved their coins to bittrex. now they realised that PIVX will not go to moon (anyway not soon) so they restarted their masternodes.
