Just tried old wallet again 2.3.1. and it keeps running without issues - but the new one 3.0.0 keeps on crashing..

Is there any new requirement in the new wallet? or something?... Some help would be great.

Reinstalled ubuntu and installed a desktop environment to try out pivx-qt.

Synchs fine but once staking is activated that wallet crashes too with this error:

Is this the official thread ?

I am shocked by the support by the team.. I am losing money just saying.

I strongly agree with you it's a shame and insult to intelligence and rationality for the pivx teams to totally neglect bitcointalk...
As I have no knowledge or understanding about why this was done I can only encourage you to visit :

I made a little edit Wink.

  • true decentralized governance based on 10000 pivx for 1 vote right
  • Independant budget managed by the decentralized governance
  • Among the lowest energy system
  • Reward node to be online
  • a logarithmic decreasing coin supply inflation
  • instant txs
  • mobile wallets
  • zerocoin protocol
  • fair and honest release and expansion of the project
  • and so much more...

I wait for the ios wallet and the elastic blocks when txs volume start to explode...

When the people of the world will get that covid was intentionally released to frame china, steal the election from trump, assure massive bail outs and foster the forced vaccination agendas...they will forget, like 911, wmds in irak, uss liberty or pedogate.

Removing everything and using a new wallet seems to have worked.

Which makes me think that the old wallet.dat may cause problems for the 3.0.0 client (pivx 2.3.1 worked fine with the same wallet.dat)

So I removed everything again , imported my priv key to make a new wallet.dat from it and it seems to run fine for now.

Going to update here again after staking for the whole night.

-[Update]-

Whole night was a success it is staking again , finally after 3 days.

So if anyone runs into the same issues , this solution might work for them aswell.

Hey There,

Sorry if you feel neglected here.  I personally wasn't aware that chatter/etc had softened here - I'll put a request in to see if we can get some more activity here.

That said:
on the PIVX.org website, this is the link for the official support: https://pivx.freshdesk.com/support/home

You can submit tickets/requests/etc there!

pivx seems like the slow and steady crusher that will kinda silently work its way to the top 10-20 sooner or later, just my guess...

Hey all... not sure if anyone here knows... but in the PIVX source code... where is the pubkey_address stored? in litecoin clones it is on a line that says pubkey_address. pretty straight forward. Anyone familiar with the PIVX code?

Thnx in advance.

For those having issues using Ubuntu 16.04 with the new wallet:

My wallet also kept crashing, I erased the old blockchain files and replaced with a fresh up to date blockchain and now the wallet does not crash. Also make sure you just have the wallet running by itself when opening, sometimes this can cause a hang up with resources being used up while loading the blockchain initially.
