Links to dcraddrgen for different operating systems are on the confirmation page where you finish the process.

I have 2 questions regarding airdrop as it is obviously the hot topic:
1. Is is confirmed how many applicants are finalized and who will receive airdrop?
2. I have my confirm id and transaction so will the coins be automatically sent to that address or what is the process to receive the coins since the wallet isn't actually out yet?
|
PM me if you wish for me to advertise you

(1) No, it is not confirmed. The last batch went out yesterday (01/18/16 03:00 PM CST). Those participants will all need adequate and fair time to complete the process and seek help if they require it. So once there is a final date for when all addresses need to be in the system, the final numbers can be confirmed and released as general statistical information about participation - this will be soon, time is of the essence now. (2) The address you submitted to the confirmation page is where the coins will go. Make sure this address is correct by using dcraddrgen to verify the seed you saved as you will import that seed into a wallet later on and access the coins. If you lose the seed, you will not be able to recover the coins.

@bram_vnl in the same directory where you unzipped the files have a file called verify.bat. When you open it you can read: Enter existing wallet seed:.

You can find much information on the web or forum: Optional: Verify the integrity of the seed you wrote down by running verify.bat and typing it in when prompted. Enter all 33 words on a single line and then press enter. The program will print your first address again. Verify this first address is the same one shown in keys.txt.

@bram_vnl nobody says it is necessary or important. You have asked and I have answered, nothing more. It makes it clear that it is optional

Following up on my previous post: My application was reviewed (or just accepted later), seeing as I received the airdrop e-mail today, generated an address and registered without any trouble. Thank you guys! Let's get that testnet rocking now!

The airdrop process seems really transparent and well done so far. I only wish there was a way to verify if the wallet creation / submission went well ie. which address they have memorized for the airdrop. My obsessive personality is always worried something went wrong and they didn't register my wallet address. I think all went well and I created it, wrote down the key, and put in the address (submitted), but it's always nice to see / verify that the server saved/assigned the address correctly.

Don't be afraid mate. The steps weren't that hard so you dont have to worry. now lay back, relax and wait for it

Oh it was ignored, along with my figures. I had said I liked the idea of block subsidy, to pay for development. If it would work but, @ $0.49 even the boss, Beyondtext, has explained the project cannot fund itself. The dev subsidy wallet (DHG) starts this project EMPTY. The founders wallet starts this project OVER FULL, and therefore earns more in PoS (private profit) than DHG earn in block subsidy (to pay the devs) Is that right? decred needs to be minimum $1 to fund itself. (Beyondtext) Then Founders, (c0) get $10,000 per week just from PoS awards. Happy days. This project cannot support devs AND the founders massive demands. I hope no devs expect to actually get paid to work on this. Maybe 1 inhouse btcsuite dev?

Isn't that good news? From the OP: "Coins held by Company 0 will be used to fund its ongoing work on open-source projects, such as Decred and btcsuite." Time to take a new FUD angle.

We are currently working on that function, but it might take a little longer since it's using blake256 algo.
