I think Ethereum and Litecoin are worth buying for early investing. Ethereum and Litecoin can easily converted to Fiat money as well as to Bitcoin or vice-versa by using Coinbase. And by this ability of this alt coins you can never lose a chance to earn in your investments. When you bought ETH or LiteC you can now purchase some ICOs and other bockchain operate coins which you desire to support their project. Know your risk also. Its a must to know where your money going to spendof and the potential ofa coin as well.

NEO is the altcoin to buy.
The Chinese will use what they developed and there are a lot of them.

If they now get the support of the Chinese gouvernement I believe it can go to 100$.
Be carefull I do not think it will get past Etherium so:

Safest choice for altcoin and crypto is in my opinion top 10
Top 100 is risky with possibly high reward or loss
The rest is extremely risky with potentially very high reward or loss
ICO can make you rich or very poor :-)

What do you guys think?

I think NEO might go to 100$ even by the end of the year. I'm not saying it's going to for sure, but it wouldn't impossible. It will have it's first ICO Red Pulse very soon. And Adex, which isn't that bad project itself ditched ethereum and will move to NEO and also have some running products on NEO before the end of the year. It least that's what they announced a month ago or so. There's about 50% less NEO tokens in circulation than there's ETH. So NEO at 100$ is about the same as ETH would be at 50$. It think 100$ for NEO really doesn't sound too optimistic.

The highest market cap, the safer the coin is true in general. But not all the coins in top 10 are safe. I wouldn't trust Bitcoin Cash at all, it's just overhyped and overvalued shitcoin, with very centralized hashing power. XRP is game of the big bankers, you never know when they can manipulate it to rip off small investors. I would avoid these two. And although it's probably not unsafe I don't get the point of holding LTC, after BTC activates Segwit there won't be much advantage over BTC anymore.

As for the other smaller coins, I don't feel like writing again, what I already did a few pages ago.

I think about 80% of past ICO's are making profit right now. So it's not as risky to invest in an ICO, because most of them get pumped soon after they are listed on exchange in you can sell them for quick profit and turn them into one of the larger less risky coins. But if you want to find ICO's that you want to hold for long time, that's very hard and risky. Recently an interesting topic about spotting good ICO's has been opened. You might check it if you like.

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
Altcoins nowadays are risky to hold, however, if you just want to trade them day to day then you must check out the trading volume so you can make sure that you are not going to have a bag of nonsense. You may also look for coins who are minting, you may research it in twitter and in this forum. I have been minting coins for a while now, and man it is fun!

Not just nowadays but since the beginning holding altcoins is risky, same by doing trading.

But that risky part can make us earned decent profit if we play it right. How to play it right? That is the challenge that we must to work on. There's no easy money without putting such an effort.

DMD is one of my favorites... but I got into it when it was still 50 cents. It is at 10 dollars right now.
I don't believe there will be much more room for the coin to grow.

Another coin that might be interesting for people who are into high risk-high reward coins might be XFT (footycash). It recently swapped form FT to XFT and added masternodes.
I expect it will make the same growth as DMD did.

At this point, any coin is a decent buy, just be careful not to purchase during pumps. Look into XBY, nice team and amazing community, extremely undervalued, marketing yet to start.

When deciding which coins to invest in I'd say looking at the team behind the project and their past successes is an important measure.

It sits at a ridiculous $500k marketcap (with the current supply) !! (Footycash is x2!! LOL)

Market is huge and tokenization makes perfect sense here.
Plus, they have massive partnerships ongoing (Football SeriesA), and apparently more to come.

not ICO coins...

I have read some of topics and threads, i see that ETH can become the next bitcoin, the opportunity to invest now is good because the price is still dumping, and i also think this can be successful

Do people really think ETH will become the next bitcoin?
Personally I'm interested in other projects that do something different.

I don't see ethereum can become the next bitcoin but I know that eth will be more valuable the next years. There are a lot of coin that are going to skyrocket after 2 to 3 years and its up to us which one to use and which one we think is the best aside from bitcoin.

Most of the answers you get here will be biased, I think you should look into the whitepaper and the potential of the project instead of speculating. A good investment is the one with the solid and strong rationale behind it.

If you decide to invest in altcoins, it's important to remember a few basic principles of investing. Firstly, invest only in the coins that you have researched because it is not reasonable to invest in something that you do not understand. Secondly, take some time to study the coins in which you want to invest for a long time (not one time). And one more thing: never invest more than you can afford to lose. It's important to avoid "Pump and Dump" too
