Bitcoin can be very popular with time. Nowadays a lot of people use credit/debit cards, so this will happen with bitcoin too

I don't see this happening. At least not any time soon, not in this lifetime. I doubt that it will become to the point where bitcoin can replace fiat. I do believe however that bitcoin can live a long side of fiat.

It could happen but it would take a lot of time for the bitcoin to do that. I think it will take 10 years and that's still even fast for a change of the currency's.
it doesn't matter how many years go by. currencies as the us dollar and the euro will never get replaced by bitcoin. what i think might happen, is that a very small not important island might be using bitcoin as second main currency. i think there was already an island where something similar happened. i can't seem to find that news article anymore. You are right, bitcoin can never replace the real money, means the fiat, as every country has their own national currency and its fiat, which they never ever want to disappear for any others. Bitcoin can only replace the world fiat if all the countries in the world sacrifice to leave their national currency, which is impossible,

Remember, Bitcoin is the perfect tool for online trading and International value exchange, but it is still pretty corky to be of everyday use. If bitcoin survives, we will probably see physical tokens being made that will act pretty much like Fiat

It is true that it can never replace the fiat , but it can become global currency in the digital world as it is invented for the digital world. The blockchain, in the future it would be a solution for all payments and banking system but along with fiats I believe.

So why majority hoping that bitcoin will replace the money?
Can't you feel the advantage or should I say benefits of using bitcoin today than what will happen if bitcoin will truly replace the money we had today?
Think people.

while bitcoin is still very volatile I think not many investors are interested in bitcoin, so it takes a long time to bitcoin become stable and more people are adopting bitcoin

What I wonder about is the fact that in the end, when all bitcoin is mined (and there's some time to pass until then) there will still be only 21 million. Now even with the bitcoin having a good value, 21 million is not that much for a global economy.

I think that can not easily happen. Particularly because many people do not even know Bitcoin. And that's the problem, I think Bitcoin to be used more and more people understand what it is.

Yes that is the problem bitcoin is facing at a moment as it is not that popular in many countries, and people think twice before investing their money in something that is totally new for them, so money will still on the mainstream for longer period of time.

That's true but if bitcoin will survive for next 20 years then there is possibility that it can replace any major currency and become a primary currency, the only thing is that we need adaption on extreme level.

Yeah and if we have all merchants that starts accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment, then surely it can replace any currency, and it would be on mainstream, but it will take time especially in developing countries where bitcoin is not that popular.

The future is always uncertain and crazy things could happen in the future. Japan's largest bank has declared that they will be making their own digital currency as well so if they succeded then the rest of the world will follow this path as well, if this happened then bitcoin could replace fiat for daily transactions

So it will be digital currency replacing paper money rather than bitcoin replacing money.
