I know right, when you look at the features & graphs, etc and the new fork of HODL doesn't even reflect the info shown in great detail of the old version.

You need to fix it if you want to inform newcomers of the changes & don't give them false hope.

by my count just now, there is over 230K of quite dubious looking "anonymous" hash on the pools.
and there has always been volume moving on the exchanges.
ever since alcurex first listed the coin.
so roll on next weekend.
and let's hope we will be saying "au revoir" to those pool miners that have been unfairly mining and dumping HOdl -
day in, and day out. - making us all depressed! and worried!

"Unfair" just because you don't have the resources to mine yourself? I very much doubt botnet owners are messing with this coin at volume, if there is a total net hash rate of <400k. That is less than 400 dual-cpu e5 systems, and less than 1000 average home PCs.

Anyone who said you are moving to another CPU coin after 86000, can you make a suggestion? Is XMR the next best once HODL dies? OR are there other good CPU-only right now?

There's no other reliable way to do it. However, voting is only part of a Nutocracy, active discussion and debate is vital too. I think the course of the recent fork was steered significantly by discussion from a drastic cut in block rewards to hodling block rewards. It might be for smaller hodlers that they have greater impact through influence and persuasion of larger hodlers.

ok, so can someone tell me how I avoid having to have multiple wallets on multiple machines in multiple locations?  without mining to a pool that may or may not be there in a year when they can send me my coins?  I'd like to keep this all on one wallet address (something which is not a problem now mining to the pools).  Would it be possible to do this if I set up my own pool just for my machines?  And if so, how in the world do I do that?

4 machines have been dedicated to this setup to see if it is working correctly.  No machine with 2.0 has found a block.  Is anyone else doing this (multiple machines mining to the same wallet address using 2.0 and a .bat file to specify address and threads, machines are not on the same network) that can confirm it is working?  I would love to know that I'm not wasting my time.

1. Make sure your wallet is closed

2. Make sure your Hodlcoin-qt.exe is on your Desktop

3. Bring up Run (Press [Window] + [R] on your keyboard)

4. Paste below in Run

*Note put your address in place of "address" like this "HEX8QLWqQ7p7MFNiN8CMrMjC2CYAy8pwi9"
**Note minermemory should be "1" or "2" on windows any higher and you ger a Runtime error
***Note minermemory is the amount of Ram your using and must be multiplied by genproclimit to equal totale Threads you would like to use example (-minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 is 8 Threads)

That mingingaddress thing never worked for me, either way I tried it. With the quotes or without. Wasted about two days mining while experimenting with this.

What I plan to do is what worked for me in the past. Open the wallet on the PC, go to console and type setgenerate true 8 or whatever amount of cores you want to use. Just use the same wallet.dat file on each pc and you're good.

Freetrade, please answer this. It's critical to the future of the coin. You said you did the change because of majority vote, so using that logic a vote to move back should also be honored, right? Or any other successful vote that gets majority support? If not, it proves what most of us believe that you intended to make the change to protect your own hodlings and used the "vote" to justify it.
