The optiminer hodl pool (http://hodl.optiminer.pl) has been updated with the new hodlcoin daemon 3.0 and an updated pool version that will stop locking mined block for 1 year after block 257000.

Hope the transition will go smoothly.

thanks optiminer Smiley

I am new to mining HOdl. I got Wolfs miner up and running on a few of my rigs with newer CPU's. I have a computer with a Core i7 CPU 860 2.8 GHz that the miner crashes on startup. Is this CPU capable of running Wolfs miner? Using Windows 10.

i have the same problem until i set the thread numbers. add -t to your batch file and make sure to put even number. 1 and 3 thread crashes my miner but 2 and 4 works well.

My wallet fully sync less then a hour, without any bootstraps.

mine took 2 hours. The  wallet syncs but it very slow with only 2 connections so i looked for live hodl nodes and add them to my conf file. then restart my wallet.

Initially HOdl was listed on C-Cex and YObit. C-Cex dropped us because of low volumes and YObit still has the coin but they don't do any maintenance and so you can't get any coins out. Recently we added CoinExchange and BitSquare but still the volumes are poor. Nobody wants to sell because after all, it's HOdlcoin not SpendCoin.

Hopefully that will change after The Unforkening at block 257,000 which happens this week.

I agree, C-Cex was awesome. It's unfortunate but the cost of maintaining a coin has to be covered by volume, I can't blame them really.

I would like to get us onto Cryptopia but at 2,000,000 DOT (about 0.84 BTC) the cost is just far too high. Cryptopia, if you're out there and reading this, is there some kind of deal we can make?

Only 73 per hodl Sad I paid over 1000 but at least I got that massive interest for the whole year. I must go install my wallet against and have a look now many I have. Not too many though I lost interest a bit in hodl. Maybe I should have minded and bought more I dont know. I'm hoping the value goes up soon.

All that happens when block 257000 hit is that any newly mined coins after that will NOT be autohodled for a year.  Anything you currently have that is immature will continue to motor along until its normal unlock date at which point you will get your coins plus interest as usual.

Guys,

I learnt the whole process via HODL and applied that knowledge to activities since. I'm glad there's some more interest now but it needs exposure as it's still a mine able coin on modest resources and there's a lot of interest in the whole crypo market right now.

I'll see if I can dig out the old servers and add some hashing power to the network again.

hello could you tell me if yobit deposits/withdrawal works or coinexchange is the only marketplace for hodl?

For weeks now I haven't been able to withdraw HOdl at Yobit but you can deposit and buy it as far as I know. There has been talk on this forum of HOdl being de-listed at Yobit.

At Coinexchange I have bought and withdrawn HOdl and so far I never had a problem. Right now CoinEX would be my best recommendation.
