Bitcoin has no power to hit the banks soo hard, sure we are now able to be our own bank, but in the end they control the economy together with governement, soo bitcoin isnt accepted full anywhere soo there are two opposited places .
Yes true if you want to remove banks bitcoin there should be a lot of changes and should be accepted by everyone for hitting banks and make it disappear is very hard to do by bitcoin.

Bitcoin cant make the banks disappear in the future because many people need banks and you cant take it away.
So if that will happen it will happen only after some 25 years or something or maybe later.

Yeah, bitcoin might not make banks disappear, I think bitcoin would be beneficial to banks in the future, it might make the transactions faster and probably would reduce workers..

Probably your prediction might come true. Only time decide what needs to happen. Banks won't disappear, as said the technology might benefit banking.

I think it has the potential to do so and change the finacial system of the world as a whole, I think it will start as banks adopt some bitcoin technology like the block system, Then it might actually replace it and make a more user-friendly system, These are all guesses though.

I don't think that bank will come in support of bitcoin in future, as bitcoin will give them tough competition in future and people who are used to traditional banking system will continue to use it in future too.

they most probably can not, at least not right now as banks are really strong nowadays and most people rely on them

i think that a lot of time will have to pass when bitcoin will be strong enough to change banks

If the banks adopts bitcon or other digital currencies, it will cut their cost a lot. They will reduce the service charge.

Now or then replacing is a difficult process. Past days bitcoin grew when people were not much aware of digital currencies. Now when it popularized more users adopted it but has not avoided banking. In this way replacing of banks is highly impossible.

Indeed, but the fact is also that the bitcoin is digital and it has a good future a head but the banks are way bigger and a lot of people are depending on it.
Plus another fact is that I do not see people stepping over to the bitcoin itself, I even think that is highly impossible.
The last thing what also be a problem is elderly, elderly are not digital, so they will never step over, the new generation is fully digitized so it would take even years before it could happen because then everything is digital.

I definitely think that it will not make it disappear, you should know how much people use their banks and how important it is for them, you cant let it disappear.
We all know that Bitcoin is becoming more used now around this time and that it is also be more acceptable, but you have also the other people that dont use Bitcoin.

It is maybe only possible later in the future after some 25 years or something or maybe later.

Yeah I think that bitcoin can never replace banks as banks are more powerful and popular then bitcoin and bitcoin will need very strong reason to over take it.

Still this thread is full of hopes that bitcoin will replace banks. Please think first some possible consequences if ever the banking system will be gone and will just replaced by bitcoin. That is really a serious problem so let's just enjoy those two.

In the end everything will come to a balance, some of the banks will go under, some will adapt, and some will find a niche market to survive in.
The point is the market is going to change drastically over the next few years, the status quo can't continue.
Exactly how it unfolds we will have to wait and see.
Ultimately bitcoin or one of its derivatives will stabilize and overtake the USD as the global currency.
After that, things will start to get interesting...

Yes very true to me until whenever everyone will require banks in the store or the transaction and it is highly unlikely banks will disappear. Bitcoin very difficult for banks to make disappear.

No the bitcoin cannot do this, I think its even far from it and it will even be far in its whole life in my opinion banks are not replaceable by the bitcoin.
The banks are just to big and there are like many people already said too many people depending on it and not only people also large company's are depending on it.
I think we cannot just step over to another currency's with the bitcoin.

Bitcoin and bank are different things

Bitcoin is internet currency meanwhile bank is a place to save fiat ( our local currency )
As we know bitcoin can be keep on online & offline wallet which stand digitally so in order to steal / hack it, you need password or private key
