I've just got a reminder from Lisk Devs

Validate your ICO Passphrase!
Important! Every ICO participant should do it!
Hello,

You are receiving this email because you participated in the Lisk ICO. According to our records, you haven't validated your passphrase yet.

Validating your passphrase is extremely important. We are therefore actively encouraging all users to validate their passphrases at their earliest convenience. This is in order to be absolutely certain that you have recorded the correct passphrase. Otherwise you risk not being able to access your Lisk account after we launch. Validation requires that you enter your passphrase on the Lisk ICO website, where your passphrase will be verified against the public key we have on record. No passphrases are transmitted over the network, all validation is performed locally within the browser.

Please refer to the following guides in order to successfully generate and/or validate your passphrase:

...

We make photocopy, downloads and print of our passphrase and still some are not valid  Huh.

Their ico systems has failures at the time the ico was creating addresses...

Open a support request:

https://lisk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Your concerns will be addressed.

I sent a support ticket .. I was asked to provide this info

ICO account email :
Exchange ID number :
Crypto-currency exchanged:
Amount exchanged:
Blockchain Transaction ID's:
Lisk Address:

WTF? Make it simpler to reset the password from the site. After all, I am login with email and password anyway to the site and that info is there anyway.

In any case, I sent that info that was asked and nothing is done.

I asked for reseting my passphrase a month ago, actually on this forum.

Right at this moment, there are hundreds of Pending tickets concerning keys rest. This process takes time and it is done on a case by case basis.

You're not the only one requesting your keys to be reset. You would be surprised at how many people wrote down the incorrect key.

I don't agree with the delay. The purpose is stupid and the community response is understandable.
If you consider yourself a legit ico with preset standards, set a date eg 21 April. After that date every investment has half of it's original value.
Till that send out 3 warning emails. You can't wait until the eternity is gone to launch lisk because of a minority who is dead/unresponsive/fraudulent.

Code:
Validate your ICO Passphrase!
Important! Every ICO participant should do it!

Guys I don't understand it. Why should I risk security issues again. I saved the file. Is there really the possibility that its wrong? Kidding me?
With bitcoin you try to make paperwallets offline to be sure, that there is no hacking possibility and I should repeatedly risk it here?

just follow rules like

ma dringt koa hells ausm weisbiaglasl...

crypto rules say, that you don't send unnecessarily security tokens around...
so again the question. Is there ANY case, that a passphrase can be wrong in the generated file?

There have been cases where people have generated multiple keys, etc. So they implemented a method to make sure you were using the correct key that you generated last.

Its up to you really. If you are confident then don't do anything. Your keys will work. However, if you are not using the correct key, you are screwed.
reality check: this is actually very professional approach from Lisk team since people's money is here in stakes, the way i see it and some might agree Lisk team has responsibility to do what's on their power to assure donors receive what's rightfully theirs meaning funds and secure them. They did amazingly good job with simple steps on how donors should redeem and secure they Magic words, even my kid could do it lol.
After reading all those post from ppl complaining made me understand that only few are aware how huge this distribution Phase is, efforts that needs to be put into it to be handled right way are enormous! To bypass future disputes and discussions about donors who didn't manage to generate their Magic words on time seems like delay is only Logical answer. Just imagine Project of this magnitude launching on 11th April with all this mess behind would probably had catastrophic effects on further development and future healthy growth of Lisk. Now imagine LiskHQ ignores 15% (1000+ ppl) of Donors and launches on 11th and then needs to confront for months with this guys everyday, man that would slow down further progress extremely. I know i don't have nerves reading for months Post from guys popping up who missed Distribution Phase, i would rather see Lisk delayed but after Clean Launch enjoy following development and growth of this Project.
LiskHQ good job as usual, ignore trolls as they are not aware how big and important good Launch is, world is watching Wink

I just wanted to contribute by informing the people of LISK that Gmail made me receive the email in  'Promotions', which I normally never read and I think a lot of people might miss it because of that.

I lisk = BTC 0.06 !!!
How do you calculate?

That's really crazy: 0.06 BTC/Lisk, for total supply of 100 million Lisk? that mean 2.526 billion dollars in market cap. (Considering 1 BTC = 421 $)

But Ethereum achieved 1 Billion market cap few weeks ago, I believe in the Lisk project and we can achieve this.

And after the Bitcoin halving event, who knows if we achieve 2 Billion market cap?  Wink

Fuck this shit, im out. Selling all my stack at 70% ico price, fuck you Max.

Why would you left the boat when it's not even launched Huh ? That's a big question. However, if you're still willing to sell a part of your stack, I'm might want to buy it. PM me if you're interested Wink !

That´s the thing, this fucking scammers hijacked my money.

Did your lisks disappeared ? Or is it the delay you're complaining about ? The delay isn't a big problem I think if it can help them building something better. When so much money was invested in a project, you just don't want it to fail !
YOU SAID THE DELAY ISN'T A BIG PROBLEM? YOU ARE FUCKIN IDIOT BITCH!!

ROTFL, the guy actually not only assumed he would be able to spend the money at a given date on a coin that has not yet launched - worse, he must have assumed some price - which could be almost anything.

With weak hands of this magnitude people still wonder if the price can fall below IPO?

Why gamble your money into an ICO while you can't actually miss it?
And though it's looking good for Lisk, there is absolutly zero guarantee you will make profit.
I hope you don't have a family to support, taking those risks.

Fuck this shit, im out. Selling all my stack at 70% ico price, fuck you Max.

101 Famous Quotes by Warren Buffett on Investing

“Never invest in a business you cannot understand.”
“Always invest for the long term.”

“What we learn from history is that people don’t learn from history.”
“Buy a business, don’t rent stocks.”

“I really like my life. I’ve arranged my life so that I can do what I want.”
“We will only do with your money what we would do with our own.”
“If you don’t feel comfortable owning something for 10 years, then don’t own it for 10 minutes.”
“I am a better investor because I am a businessman and a better businessman because I am an investor.”
“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”
“The Stock Market is designed to transfer money from the Active to the Patient.”

“The best business returns are usually achieved by companies that are doing something quite similar today to what they were doing five or ten years ago.”
“Investing is laying out money now to get more money back in the future.”
“The stock market is a no-called-strike game. You don’t have to swing at everything – you can wait for your pitch.”
“Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good results.”
“I don’t look to jump over 7-foot bars: I look around for 1-foot bars that I can step over.”

“As Buffet said in the speech, “He’s not looking at quarterly earnings projections, he’s not looking at next year’s earnings, he’s not thinking about what day of the week it is, he doesn’t care what investment research from any place says, he’s not interested in price momentum, volume or anything. He’s simply asking: What is the business worth?”
