I am proud Lisk bagholder xD
I would like to ask you what with LISK rebranding  I heard it was planned for August but as everyone can see there's end of September and still nothing happend...
Etheteum is one step from entering the mainstream and what with Lisk?

Do not expect any "visual" rebranding before the end of october.
Now, their are working on the coding -> design phase is over.
I think it will be sequential. Frist news mid-october, let's hope a full rebranding before the end of the year !

Let's go to the moon.

There isn't one, nor will there be until the platform product is well underway...if at all.  Maybe in mid 2018 at soonest as a rough guess.
It's been stated that they rather not advertise a product they don't have yet, which gives greater creative leeway until there's something to show...
core 1.0, the rebranding, and SDK development need to happen before the platform and marketplace can transpire... all three of which are happening within q4 evidently. Q1 will be even more glorious... by the time the actual platform gets here, early adopters will be thriving, and everyone will forget about the elusive lisk whitepaper, it will also be self-explanitory when the platform debuts...

Notable contributions to the LISK network should be rewarded by the LISK team imho. Otherwise only delegates would be interested in doing anything for LISK and we have to think about much bigger audience here.
No, Lisk is a decentralized blockchain. The decentralized community should reward contributing delegates by voting for them. That's the idea behind DPoS. A centralized entity should not be needed to reward these delegates.
I decided to not give 25% to my voters, but to donate those 25% to contributing people and great projects. Every voter who says this is greedy is just greedy himselve. He prefers his own personal profit over the benefit for the whole Lisk ecosystem.
If all those percentages shared to voters would be invested into great Lisk projects and into people organizing meetups, creating tools, fixing bugs instead, we could be already at twice or three times the price we are now. And everybody who owns LSK would profit much more from higher prices than from a few single LSK payed out because of voting. Think in long term, not short term to get big rewards!
So, .cryptic. tell me who is greedy here:
1) the delegates spending 25% to people contributing to Lisk and promising projects,
2) voters who try to get higher rewards by doing absolutely NOTHING for Lisk
?

>> voters who try to get higher rewards by doing absolutely NOTHING for Lisk

You are wrong. LISK holder supports LISK market value by buying and holding LSK. Without them, LSK is a SELL.

>> the delegates spending 25% to people contributing to Lisk and promising projects,

Where is the report? How do you know which projects are promising? Your friend's projects? Or USD 200 freelance projects? Don't tell me that you are writing some line of codes, fixing some typos and ask community for paying you USD 6000 per month forever. It is too greedy.

Please don't act as if you were sole contributor to LISK project. Everyone here is contributing to LISK project in different ways.

I strongly support active contributors to LISK and prefer voting them over profit sharing only delegates. However, let be transparent, fair and accountable. Don't be too greedy and see voters as idiots

Dear voters,

Let raise your voice and ask delegates for increasing their profit sharing ratio to at least 50% and consider unvoting the following delegates

+ corsaro: 10% share only
+ tembo: 15% share only
+ mrv: 5% share only
+ redsn0w: 10% share only
+ splatters: 10% share only
+ joel: 15%
+ dakk: 15%
+ 4miners.net: 0%
+ cc001: 0%
+ digitron: 0%
+ hmachado: 0%
+ grumlin: 0%
+ goldeneye: 0%
+ liskgate: 0%
+ punkrock: 0%
+ gr33ndrag0n: 0%

It is a waste of money and time to vote for delegates that share nothing to voters. It is simply too greedy

All of them are from GDTPool

Also, vote for techbytes because he shares 90% reward https://lisk.cryptopools.com

Delegate owners please contact http://earnlisk.com/ owner to update your profit sharing ratio

@digicoin
Your numbers are wrong. Your accusations that we don't contribute are also wrong.
Look at this and then tell me again, I am not contributing.

Fair comment. If the delegates had to keep all the forging rewards, then why do people bother to vote for them ? The community will eventually understand tis and will kick out the greedy delegates in due course. Its only a matter of time.

This year has been too good for lisk supporters as the price soared like 20X, initially the price was 0.3$ and now it is like 6.5$. I still see a lot of growth opportunity in lisk in 2018 what you guys say?

The future is looking really bright for LISK. Once the SDK is released and people start developing different projects on the sidechains, without bloating the mainchain, it will definitely soar in its value.

You are right. Greedy delegates have to left from top 101 even they do somethink for Lisk.

First of all voters already participated in Lisk development by buying Lisk on ICO or exchanges. We bring our money from the offline. And Lisk worth because of that too.
Devs got millions from ICO and we can expect the development of Lisk's platform. If someone want to help with development it's their right but not duty. Also if delegate want to sold revards he got it's his right.
Of couse I will support first the delegates who do something for Lisk. But if they so greedy to leave 70% for theirself (as pankrock do) I do not!
They say that it is needed for on cost and voting weight. But if they will distribute even all it's node revards they will not lose their voting weight because their voters will rise it. On my opinion they do that just to became whales and to violate the rights of small voices.
Another thing - why do you think that only you have to decide where and for what send our (node revards is revards of all node voters) money?
OK if you are good coder and facilitate Lisk you worthy of a reward but why do you grab so much?

I think all delegates have invested in Lisk ICO and are investors like you. I am totally fine with the rewards I get from the delegates. I am doing nothing for Lisk and I get free money from the delegates. Who am I to complain about it? Who are you to complain about it? You are greedy too.

Is there any chance of introducing more delegates, may be 1000, with the new SDK release and rebranding? That could solve all these greed issues since more people can start forging.  Wink

Can DPOS blockchain survive for a long run?

Please somebody highlight me for something that I dont know.

Because DPOS servers are depending on = total delegates.

LISK has 101 delegates. Meaning LISK has = 101 servers. And I assume, most of the delegates just using VPS server to running their nodes.

Can with only 101 server / VPS handle thousand of DAPPS like Ethereum? Including million of request / traffic / band-witch per-day?

Or did I miss something?

Look at Facebook, look at Google, see how many servers they are currently running to handle billion of request/traffic every day.

hey tech72
here some answers:

the number of delegates (101) could be increased in the future if needed and when the network grows.
most of the delegates don't use only cheap VPS, but pretty strong dedicated servers.
those servers on the mainchain don't need to handle thousands of Blockchain apps, because every blockchain app will run on its own sidechain with its own delegates. That's the beauty of the concept with the sidechains. The mainchain delegates need to handle only the traffic and transactions on the mainchain, which is basically sendind LSK, voting, and registering sidechains. All the traffic from apps are handled on their own sidechain by other delegates (depends on the creator of the app how his consensus works and who are the delegates, if any)
