Lisk Elements v1.0.0 is released!
The all new general-purpose JavaScript library, Lisk Elements, replaces LiskJS as the go-to resource for Lisk-related JavaScript functionality. It is intended primarily for JavaScript developers, and HQ currently use it in several of their own products, including Lisk Hub and Lisk Commander. This release will significantly change the Lisk ecosystem, therefore all of Lisk products need to align to ensure the next release goes smoothly. The introduction of of JS Promises in the new Lisk Elements is an addition which promises to lighten mental load and lead to less programming errors by the user.

MADANA, the platform for data analysis, which is due to be one of the first major dApps to be built on a Lisk sidechain had their ICO listed on betaico.com; an ICO aggregator that has compiled a lot of the MADANA token sale info in one location. Lisk Core 1.0 is on the public Testnet!
The important step of migration from Lisk Core 1.0.0-rc.1 to 1.0.0-rc.2 on Testnet network has occurred. It went smoothly and successfully as could be seen by the upbeat comments on Lisk chat by community members monitoring the transition. HQ are very proud of this achievement, as it brings all of us very close to the long-awaited Lisk Core 1.0.0 release to Mainnet. If Testnet network remains stable over the weekend and no new issues are detected, you can expect an announcement regarding the Mainnet migration block height next week. Fingers crossed for a smooth weekend.

And there’s more: secret keys aren’t secret

Ah, and there’s another security issue in Lisk: looking at the client API documentation, you’ll notice that clients need to send their passphrase (the secret value) to open an account or to send a transaction. In other word, Lisk is missing the whole point of public-key cryptography, which is to keep secret keys secret. Oh, and there’s even an endpoint (/api/accounts/open) that allows you to request your public key given your secret key. So much for trustlessness and decentralization.

If we take 64 insecure Lisk addresses as you did, the same attacker will take an average of four months to find a collision with such “ideal” cracking hardware/software.

Having said that, the security of our users is taken very seriously by Lisk HQ. The current address system in place dates back to Max and Oliver’s time at Crypti, where it was initially implemented. We have a team dedicating to solving the remaining flaws in the system.

We still recommend that all users initiate their account by conducting at least one transaction; it is as simple as sending yourself one LSK. By doing this, the public key is cemented into the Lisk blockchain and reduces any insecurities regarding the current address system.

BTC price of Lisk is steady, just like it was before. New Liskers sold thier coins because nothing happend, maybe even with a loss.Everyone is in panic and selling.
