I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering
its hurt for bitcoin, for us and for developer,we ll being harder to introducing bitcoin to general people, they will see bitcoin as illegal payment for illegal activity, but we can't deny it,so many people start using bitcoin for gambling, porn, terrorist, which it illegal in some country.

They wont use Monero or Dash or anything. They have much poorer liquidity than Bitcoin. There are no Localmoneros to get it from cash, only few USA-based exchanges deal with monero, xmr.to has limit of 1 or 2 btc for transfer. Monero is far from ready to be used for some serious transactions.
Only one exchange factually, which is KYC/AML conform. The vast opposite of privacy. The implementation is imperfect, lacking I2P to cover one's assIP.

Lots of things are used for illegal activities. It does not mean something should not be used. Words and letters are also used for illegal activities by the way - terrorists are using them to communicate. So we should use them with care, maybe we are potential terrorists?
agree all used for illegal activities. weapons, social media, currency,
not only bitcoin. so it was very reasonable when others use bitcoin for illegal activities
Of course it will be used by illegal activities. That is pretty normal I think for Bitcoin. They must know that it happens.
You cant check with Bitcoin what you bought and that is why they use it and that is a huge problem.

The same way in the past several people started ponzi schemes, hyip and were ilegal and stealing money from others around, with bitcoin sometimes it may damage the real concept that bitcoin has been made for, there are already a list of scams projects that took a large ammount of btc.

Bitcoins are not entirely untracable, you can add as many layers of protection as you want, but one act of carelessness could render all those efforts useless.
Not wanting to give people ideas here, but there are altcoins that are better suited for those kinds of activities.

Its used for illegal activities but think about the fact is not almost every currency used with criminal activities.
I do not think the bitcoin will come in trouble because of that if I'm honest.

Im sure it is. Why not? Its a form of money, as old the world is money where
used to promote, sutain and profit from criminal acitivities.
Huge suprise for me would be if no one on this god forsaken planet, would use
bitcoins to buy, sell, sponsor something that is not legal.
That is how things work, we will find the rats where the food is.

The whole notion that Bitcoin is being used for criminal activity is just a way for the bankers to keep their grip on the world economy. They see Bitcoin as a threat so they run PR talking about all the faults about Bitcoin. Luckily enough, the price is on the rise.

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

Yeah, and I think not only bitcoin but all the currencies are used for criminal and illegal activities, then whey people are focusing only on bitcoins, and I think that fiat is used more by terrorists and criminals as they are dealing with it since a longer period of time.

I hope that the usage of Bitcoin for illegal activities won't affect the adoption of this cryptocurrency. If it will then there will be no logic in this. Money, gold, knives and even simple cars are being used for illegal activities for many years and still we are using all of those things in everyday life.

That is not fair, but the growth of bitcoin will be really affected. All that you have quoted is in its physical form. Our bitcoin is in its digital form.

Try to name one thing that isn't being used for illegal activities..... I think it's really hard to think of something, as almost everything can be used illegally.
Guns, knifes, hammer, saws, tape, bricks, cars, etc. etc. are all used for illegal activities on a massive scale. That doesn't mean that hurts them in the long run, it just means a larger demand than if it would only be used for legal activities.

To compare: Every British bank note is contaminated by cocaine within weeks of entering circulation

Of course bitcoin is being used for illegal activities. And as has been pointed out, fiat is used for illegal activities also.

The difference between bitcoin and fiat being used for illegal activities other than the fact that fiat is used more so for illegal activities, is that the press and media actually blame and demonize bitcoin for the illegal activity. Why? Because that's what sells and brings in the ad revenue. Every day there are hundreds, if not thousands of illegal activity uncovered using fiat currency, but who really cares unless there's some compelling, enthralling, captivating story to it?

However, if it is some illegal activity involving bitcoin, then BOOM! Instant headlines. Bitcoin + [insert whatever illegal activity here] Read/watch more to find out how evil and terrible bitcoin is because it was used for this otherwise common, run-of-the-mill illegal activity that has been committed many many times in the past with good and righteous fiat currency.

Just ride and so be it. We can't control that and even bitcoin is associated in illegal activities because of people, still it can't stop from other people to use it. Besides the good activities are much dominating than those illegal activities associated in bitcoin.

Of course it is used by illegal activities. But you dont know for what and that is the problem. You cant check anybody if he bought something crazy.
It hard to check what you bought with Bitcoin and that is the problem. But maybe it will change later in the future.

In many countries gambling is treated as an illegal activity, but majority of us are spending our bitcoin on gambling, so yes bitcoin is used for illegal activities but atleast we are using only in gambling and not in any criminal or terrorist activities.
