Yes, we might not see it, as we cannot see who is using bitcoin, but for sure there are people who are using bitcoin like money to fund their illegal activity...maybe some people are keeping their money asset as bitcoin to make sure that government won't see it... but definitely it won't hurt bitcoin...

Gambling itself is illegal. Scamming is illegal. Selling accounts and trust is illegal. Selling phone number or bank account is illegal. Selling drugs is illegal. Selling contact numbers is illegal. All these can be done anonymously with BTC. Hence, this answers that

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering

well yes you can say that bitcoins are used for that as you can buy guns or drugs for bitcoins pretty easily, you just have to search for them

Rather cryptocurrency used to transfer funds from one user to another in the illicit business. The money- laundering here it is not very suitable option use for criminal purposes.

Of course. I'm pretty sure it's already happening at the moment I'm typing these words, and at the very moment you are reading this. Bitcoin is money, and money can do a lot of things, especially the illegal ones. But one things is always true : those activities are not just due to bitcoins and bitcoin is not responsible for those in any ways.

Bitcoin is used for more legal things than criminal activities in general. In every group you will find some bad apples and it is these people giving Bitcoin a bad reputation. The criminal activities just attract a lot more attention than the good things that are done with it, because sensationalism sells more papers and draw more visitors to websites. Just be part of the group of people who use Bitcoin for the legal things.

These all things can easily be done on other payment processors also, there are a lot of people who create fake payment processor accounts (unverified and in some special cases verified also) and with that they send payment for these things.

Illegal activity with bitcoin isn’t desirable, but it’s unavoidable and it’s a helpful barometer of how successful crypto is.

Because of the large-scale cost of mining and buying in/out of bitcoin, it's better suited for illegal activity (where people will pay more for a decentralized system) than actual payment.

Look isnt just filipino people that using bitcoin to scam, scammers has no boards neither countries, always a scammer will come after money, its getting less and less scam project live, as people are giving more value to their bitcoins, and willing to take the risks. Bitcoin as fiat both are used to good and bad things, soo nothing new as i know.

I slightly failed to focus with your statement. What do you mean exactly? because in my opinion, using electricity to mining it is legitimate, provided you pay it to the power company that serves you. Or I misunderstood here, if so please explain to me. thank you

In your statement mate i understand what you said that if you using electricity to mine it is legit if you pay for the supplier of electricity in your area or country but if you are not paying and just jump in into other line of electricity to operate your mining site i think that is illegal.

FOR ME mate every currency in the world is used for illegal activities now in deep web they use bitcoin to buy "drugs" so 100% the answer to your question is a big "YES" but along with all the other currencies out there the reason of this thread is that the transaction of bitcoin is anonymous which hides he transactor from other people

yeah indeed, so bitcoin mining activity is legal right. Could become illegal if you steal electricity and not paying properly. Perhaps our friend above misperceptions about bitcoin mining Smiley

Anything that involves stealing is illegal in any way. Its better to pay the electricity you consumed on your mining  than to steals neihboors electricity, just think that they would suffer big current bill because of you which is really not good what if it happens to you? you would know the feeling of being cheated by anyone. You might kill them if you knew what they are doing Smiley

I think Bitcoin is being used for illegal activities. USD and every currency is used for illegal activities too. The problem is that BTC is harder to catch.
