Are there any desktop wallets that actually work with Verge - I've tried windows core, windows-qt, debian-qt and they all have the same problem - none of them can connect to the verge network (always says 0 connections to VERGE network) - is there some trick to getting this working. I've downloaded the block chain and that all seems to be fine, but without any connection to the verge network I fail to see how these wallets can work...

Anyone any ideas what else I can try...

JohnMcafee gave an interview to RussiaToday (Russian state funded propaganda channel) and boasted about it in Twitter. That's how many hero to zero characters end up (Schröder, Seagal, Depardieu). He's getting truly desperate. Love how people call him "cyber security expert". He might have been that in the past, but people change and people downfall. He's a grumpy man who's on drugs a good amount of the time. On good days there might be some wise words coming from his mouth, on bad days... Oh well.

Yeah "Russian propaganda channel" right.
Just because they don't tow the line with "western MSM" that sold us lies about WMD in Iraq, Iranian nuclear program, "rebels" in Syria and Lybia and neonazis leading the fight in Maidan, doesn't make them a propaganda.

He prefer the CNN - American state propaganda channel. What can you do? fake news are so sweet sometimes... hmmm... Russians everywhere, they in your head, in your bed, in your kitchen Smiley

I don't know how they can even close their eyes when they go to bed knowing Putin is hidding in thekr wardrobe with an axe 😂

Keep on innovating verge team!

Just taking first peek at https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/releases/tag/4.0 wooo  hooo....don't have to be a genius to see the potential and promise of what is emerging!!

Hopefully this forum will focus more on more learning, new features and help newcomers position for the incredible changes that are unfolding in these new markets.   Although by no means an expert, flogging this nascent team is asinine.   In my opinion the team deserves an innovator of the year (and effort award).

I for one, want to say THANK YOU.

You can download Electrum XVG wallet and if not connect, change network:

e1.verge-electrum.com (ssl Port 50003, not 50002)
e2.verge-electrum.com (ssl Port 50003, not 50002)

For me working fine

This thread is now infested with sock puppet newbie accounts. It is a real shame. I really don't want to keep spamming the ignore button so I'll wait out this mess before coming back...to hopefully a cleaner and more useful thread with constructive conversation. Too much drama for me to handle  Roll Eyes

I've been following Verge for about 1-2 weeks now. I only have 1430 at the moment. Bought all at different times between $0.11 and $0.17 - no real order or timing. Just when I had funds to throw at the exchange.

I'm not completely uneducated on the product, but I am nowhere near an expert. I like the promises behind this coin. I like the community behind this coin. I feel like there can be great strides made. I have much more to learn, and I plan on doing just that.

I am done with depositing outside money into my exchange, so now it is just based off small gains here and there. Follow the curve and up gain 10-30 coins every now and then. No it's not a lot, but at least I am going in the right direction. By no means is this a get rich quick scheme for me, although in a perfect world a return on investment would be nice.

I'm a Verge fan, but unfortunately, tonight I had to dump.

Wraith is not working.

Here's a list of bugs that I've encounter:
- Impossible to create a Stealth address with the User Interface
- Creation needs to be done by command window, and the size is weird, too big for small screens.
- When restarting the program, all Stealth Addresses are gone, lost and damned.
- Dumpprivkey doesn't work with Stealth Addresses
- Mac OS wallet is incomplete, users need to run brew install boost with terminal
- Windows Wallet doesn't accept addresses with more than 34 characters, so no Wraith transaction from this QT.

As the User Interface creates some regular Addresses instead of Stealth, users thinks they're using Wraith. And they're not.

Not sure how many characters the Stealth Addresses have ? IMO 102 but not sure as there is no information.

Plus, releasing a Software where people will hodl money without being sure that the private keys are safe is not professional.
We can't even backup the private keys  Shocked

That is a ridiculous response. I never said anything about new accounts having no right to post on the forum. It is the nonsensical posts, the comments that serve no purpose other than attempting to harm the project that I had an issue with. Many coming from accounts with just a few posts and all of them in this thread. I never resorted to insulting anyone directly, you just did by calling me a poor man. I never quoted any of your posts either so I am not sure why you became so defensive. I suggest you just click the ignore button so you don't need to read or get upset about what I have to say.

A good example of a constructive criticism, something the dev can read and maybe take on board. I have not tried it myself as of yet, sounds like it needs some work.

The more surprised I'm seeing the price stability today... bought at 60 Satoshi and actually don't see any reason to sell.

Although I'm new to the trading of coins, I keep watching the XVG graph and the results are fairly predictable up to this point. There is a jump, a slight dive, some waves, and then an evening out at a mid range, if not a little higher than previous "lull"

It's almost like you can read the people.

First a group hops on, people see the price jumping, sell at a high point, get lots of people to follow, then misinterpreted as a bailout, then people buy low, then goes back to normal. I'm not sure if this is normal across other coins, but I see no reason to dump my small pile yet.

Hi there,

I'm putting together an evaluation matrix of all notable Anonymous/Private cryptocurrencies, and could use your help clarifyiing Verge.    Feedback including reference to something official (website, whitepaper etc) or Dev comments (or devs themselves) would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!
