I have an Electrum wallet seed and I know I was using it a few months ago, now I'm trying to use the regular wallet and the TOR wallet with the seed on a new install of Windows 10 (yes I know it's crap) and it just will not connect. What am I doing wrong - I see quite a few other posts here with people complaining that their Verge wallets will not sync. Is it because the high market volume has crippled the servers?
I would like to mine some again but I'm not leaving it on an exchange!

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

I use Verge 3.0 for Windows (not Electrum or TOR!!!) with downloaded blockchain and it functions normal. Here you can read how to install the blockchain. |

First of all don't make hurry, just calm down and check all your addresses (you sent and received coins) at verge blockchain info, i/e/ here - https://prohashing.com/explorer/Verge/Then you've got to find your wallets seed and private keys. Hope U'll succeed! Goold luck!  |

I surely love the current ride with SVG... after having bought at 2 sth, I am glad to see some of them at 2000 sth ;-)
Reading the article about XVG makes me understand a little better
the current huge rise .... glad I remind patient with this coin....
when most of my partners sold at 50 sth ;-)

IS THIS STILL right time to buy verge considering it also become $1 in future? I had bought for 30$ back in august after that i didnt invest now $30 has become 2343$, what will be best strategy ahead, should i sell some and buy more with profits or what to do?

I really like this coin but the wallet situation is getting really frustrating and it seems like a crap lot of people are struggling with it. Electrum doesn't connect at all anymore today, I did a test transfer of 4 coins yesterday which worked fine, today it's red all day. The original wallet doesn't even work at all for me. The Verge Tordroid for Android shows connected but I actually don't wanna use an wallet app on my phone, mainly because i have no clue on how to make an backup and it's pretty easy to loose a phone. Could anyone of the devs write a step by step guide on how your wallets are supposed to work? Loading the blockchain, dumping it into the main folder won't work for me. And why the heck is the electrum wallet completly offline today? I really wanna store by coins offline for month/years to come, I freaking hate exchange websites but I'm worried that I can't withdrawl after a few month if there are already connections problems.  |

well I got the desktop tor version up with tor www browser for windows 64 with a lot of help from folk (who I will tip) as far as confirmations a wallet adress shows 330 confirms but still shows up UNVERIFIED on the desktop verge wallet thus I assume that the wallet is not catching up on the blockchain any way to tell if this wallet is making any progress...I just see the green dot would like to see what block it is on stuff like that....with my luck it is sitting on block one and hung I did a paper wallet 2 days ago and a the verge blockchain Qt online wallet today as well as this desktop verge wallet also today the only thing showing up is the desktop wallet....showing on verge explorer on prohashing as confirmed 330 times but again showing up as unverified on the actual address with/in my verge desktop tor version windows wallet (I suppose folk will come back and say it will all synch with/in 5-9 months or some such) fun times with this wallet stuff will put actual details on how this works if/when I find out it IS working ...right now ...just stringing me along as a tease...no real proof that I'm still not on block one on the network on the desktop wallet |

ok cool...
the wallet.dat is the file. (if your sure) u can delete that.
then start the wallet.
then you can import your coin into it.
dont put the pw on it yet.
thats the part that screws you up.
(or you can get the coinomi wallet, for android/etc)
or another type of wallet. coinomi uses a seed words...
etc.
just dont move fast. thats the thing.

Verge on place 16th in coinranking with marketcap at $ 3,5 billions. Thats not bad. If this coin hits $ 0.4, we will be in top 10 and more trust will come to this coin, so stabilisation will be a fact and grow as well |

I had exactly the same situation with the android tor wallet. I had to go to orbot setting while the wallet was closed, select and configure the whole process as was instrusted repeated times but it finally connected and my coins was there. Let me know how it goes and good luck! |

Verge is faster, more secure and more private than Bitcoin and XVG is the only
one that has the true potential to exceed the total market cap of Bitcoin and
be #1. Cannot believe Verge has been under the radar, until now. Most missed
out on getting in Bitcoin under $1, but Verge under $1 is a bargain, given the
smart contracts ahead, privacy, quickness, and current low price. Everyone will
regret selling Verge under $1 in a few months, when XVG is over $5 easily.

Those bashing Verge now are the ones that regretfully sold under .20 cents
and they are hoping to re-buy XVG again at a low price. Good luck trying to
re-buy under .20 cents with the Billion in daily volume. I was in Ripple too
and saw it climb up this year. It doesn't matter if Ripple or Verge was under
.01 cent months ago. Ripple went to $1.20 and all that sold XRP and now
XVG under .20 cents are regretting it. But Verge has the potential to go
much higher than Ripple, given it has lower circulation and it's more
private and can work with smart contracts, etc. Back up the truck and
load up on Verge from all the weak hands that are selling now.
Verge will be $20 in 6 months.
