Seems a great coin, maybe THE coin to invest right now Wink

Anyone knows how to get some XVG to start? Tks in advance!

Hi,
there are many ways to buy verge currency, check on coinmarketcap the list of exchanges and go there ;
finance and bitters seem are the biggest exchange if you're looking for liquidity.
cheers

Hey everyone, I have a quite an unusual situation, I am registered at one of the exchanges and I tried withdrawing XVG by mistake to a wrong currency wallet (different seed and length). Question, will the exchange's XVG wallet allow for XVG coins to be transferred to a different seed address (recepient)?
Thank you!

p.s. I tried testing on Electrum wallet, I inserted the incorrect address into "recepient's address" and it showed error "invalid line". Hence, exchange should get the same on their end right?

 Verge has been massively endorsed by privacy and security expert, John McAfee of McAfee virus protection software fame. He recommends Verge as his best buy out of all the crypto-currencies: "a lump of coal with a big diamond inside!"

You can buy Verge from reputable exchanges like
Bittrex: https://bittrex.com/] https://bittrex.com/]https://bittrex.com/ and
Cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Register?referrer=A_cat_named_joe

Wallets are available from the Verge Website https://vergecurrency.com/]https://vergecurrency.com/]https://vergecurrency.com/
and the excellent multi-coin Coinomi mobile wallet app is available from the Google Play Store (Android)

Verge has good fundamentals:
  • unique anonymous wallets running on Tor;
  • a strong drive towards merchant retail adoption;
  • negligible transaction fees;
  • if John McAfee is right, the potential for vast returns - the price is currently low at 0.00000840 BTC ($0.14) although Verge is a top 30 Market Cap coin. If Verge became 10% of the current value of Dash, $100 invested now would give an investor a return of well over $1,000,000;
  • and, as mentioned before, a massive boost from John McAfee who has singled out Verge (XVG) as his recommended best buy:

Hi everyone, I'd like to check how to import verge paper wallets when one is using the windows GUI 3.0 version (not electrum) wallet? I've been looking but don't seem to see that option around.

Em...Anyone, anyone at all able to help me on this? I've got a paper wallet and the 3.0 windows desktop wallet, but I'm not able to find where I can import addresses or private keys into the desktop wallet. Anyone able to give insight on this? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe the faucet is actually working. I believe it is based on donations to work so if there are no donations you won't get anything. You could still practice your skills and untill there are some donations.

Verge is a privacy coin and the next big release is the Wraith Protocol, which is explained here:

On 13 December, McAfee claimed that cryptocurrencies with a high degree of anonymity “cannot lose”. McAfee listed Monero (XMR), Verge (XVG) and Zcash (ZEC) as altcoins that meet this criterion of anonymity. Hihihe.

He also made a prediction today on his Instagram, but I think is a bit high

Hm...Verge's goes by network hash rate, and not by pool hash rate? I find that my pool's hash rate being constant, but the Verge coins I'm getting (and percentage I'm doing) is wayyyyy lower than 2-3 days before. Difficulty's just being jacked up and up, and it's unanimous among different pools (I know cos I've just checked).

each algorithm has it's own difficulty. the difficulty has gone up alot since our recent upward trend in price.
