It'd need to have a market cap higher than Bitcoin. I don't see that happening anytime soon. It could reach $1 though, maybe 2.

Sorry, my version is the Verge Electrum wallet:  2.2.0.1

it connects (i have an img, of it syncing...ill try to add)

   a few seconds later it shows my balance (or lack there of in this wallet)

  looks ok.

I dont know about the QT wallet. i havent used it in months.   i'd have to dl the blockchain etc.

use the Electrum, or get coinomi.

but I can't mine verge if the network public address does not show up as valid

what is the name of your xvg wallet? At first I used electrum xvg one,  but it failed,  then I downloaded verge 3. 0 and verge blockchain and after 10- 15 minutes it synces and everything was ok.  As far as I know you want see no funds in your wallet until it synces.  In an hour I will send 1 verge to your address.  Let's see what it will be!  Anyway I hope we'll succeed!
