no, it was last year they did that token thing. its listed on some exchanges since apr 17, not 18  i dont get the etc token stuff. it looks hard to withdraw, looking thru the steps. at least beyond my skill level lol. Agreed, i as well use only ERC tokens that can be used on the Exodus wallet or leaving them at the exchange i bought them. |

I think verge maximum potential right now is still x 5. That will put it on the top 5 best coin on coin marketcap. But of course, when ripple and others on top, ride with the bull market of bitcoin, that will left verge again up to the 12th or 15th position in coin marketcap.
Good luck with that prediction, you realize that it's currently on #33, right  Someone can only be envious about your endless optimism, seriously. |

But i need to answer to that post one more time. Can you please show me your proofs that XVG is a scam coin? Before you answer, please consider the following. I have no idea where you come from, but in a lot of countries (the one i live in included) it is a crime if someone allege that something is a scam or someone is a scammer without having any proof for that or although he knows, that this isn‘t true. I think the second option is the one, that fits here better. As i am sure, that you have no proofs at all for your allegations, it looks to me as you commited a crime... So you can be thankful that noone here is interested neither in you nor in your opinion... |

I doubt, XVG is a scam coin, but Sunerok's coding skills are questionable after two identical hacks after short time and now he even had to "borrow" code from another coin. Also telling us after the first hack, that the problem is fixed and then it turns out it isn't and the second hack happens...this leaves a bad taste and raises questions when the next hack will happen. I realize nobody is perfect and there are vulnerabilities everywhere in the internet, but people want a profit out of their investment and if things continue like this, it's always just going up a bit, then the next mess happens and prices go down again and holders are screwed, no profits for them...
Another thing: The low amount of nodes is a security issue and a sign for centralization.
The privacy also doesn't seem to be top notch for this coin.
Last but not least, i'm asking myself how Sunerok is funding himself and his team (if he really has any as it's pretty much a one-man job he's trying to pull off) as he says, there was no premine, no ICO etc. Developing a coin, creating partnerships etc. takes time and money. So who funds him, if he doesn't sit on a bunch of coins. Is it just a share of the transaction costs, securing him a stable income?

Yes, xvg coin is one of the most advance coin on crypto world. Also backed by dedicated developers that is pursuing the alternative coin for bitcoin. Thus it is a great coin to invest too. Remember last year that verge was also voted as the most promising coin of 2018. By reading the above thread, verge infrastructure are still on a great speed of implementation. Still I wouldn't put all my money I have into one coin. Always good to be sufficiently diversified. Let's you sleep better  Smart choice, do not put all your money into one place, get used to divide it into three or five different coins, so when the first coin goes down and your second coin goes up, you can still profit to cover the first coin loss, especially if all four coins you ride all, surely you profit doubled. Not sure why you say three or five. Did you read something about that golden rule or did you come up with that yourself? rather inane question... but I would say more than just 5. that little runs a 20% risk... better to hold 50 coins . Holding 50 coins also reduces your upside potential as well as the downside potential. Depends on the risk appetite I would say. |

Seems you are ok with the fact that someone gets daily several milion XVG's from hacking it all the the time? Did you even look further into that adress? |

I guess if the devs won't rollback immediately in order to deprive the hackers from their dirty money, the users have to bring it down in order to at least mitigate how much richers the thieves will get. Not that rolling back a blockchain is a good solution... the team had to choose between two evils. |
