There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If you don't get any other offers I might look into how to go about buying you one online. Are you getting hungry or do you just like pizza ?  OMFG. This is an open offer by the way.. I will trade 10,000 BTC for 2 of these pizzas any time as long as I have the funds (I usually have plenty). If anyone is interested please let me know. The exchange is favorable for anyone who does it because the 2 pizzas are only about 25 dollars total, maybe 30 if you give the guy a nice tip. If you get me the upgraded extra large ones or something, I can throw in some more bitcoins, just let me know and we'll work something out.
My 1 year old daughter really enjoys pizza too! She just smears it all over her face if you give her a whole slice, but she does eventually manage to get most of it in her mouth (minus a few loose toppings of course).

I hate to be a party pooper (ok maybe I don't), but they didn't pay an absurd amount of money for them. They paid based on whatever the market rate was at the time. Anyone who didn't buy bitcoins at the time, or sold their bitcoins at the time would be just as foolish. Except of course they did something important, which is actually do something to start the economy rather than just be a speculator.
Good for them, and I am sure they not only got some of the most memorable pizza they will ever have, but I am sure they mined plenty more bitcoins as well.
So get out there and buy something. The future of this is unknown for all, but without people actually using this thing as money, bitcoins have a very weak outlook.
