This needs to be a bitcoin holiday. we celebrate by buying pizza with bitcoins
I concur! What do we call it, Bitcoin Pizza Day? Laszlo's Pizza Day? laszlo I would offer to buy you a pizza, but I'm not based in the USA, so they might think I'm a prank caller. If you don't get any other offers I might look into how to go about buying you one online. Are you getting hungry or do you just like pizza ?  I just think it would be interesting if I could say that I paid for a pizza in bitcoins  ^ So May 21st is Laszlo's Pizza Day! I agree with this %100. Maybe do it a little like Reddit's Random Acts of Pizza. Or maybe even do it on there to help promote and raise awareness for Bitcoin |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

yeah no date on the transactions; hard to know if anywhere the coins went are still in use today without tracking it on and on and on I got mine coins from that tx a year ago and they were already 70+ txs away from the pizza purchase. better you have scripted the tracking if you want to check your coins for pizza traces. |

Stop Necro Bumping this thread, In a word "no." If you're not interested in the thread don't read it - it happens to be a historical document of the birth of btc as a viable medium of exchange. It's entirely possible the whole history of the currency might be quite different if these 10,000btc were not exchanged for a couple of pizzas. It could have just quietly died, or at the very least have been delayed in it's development. SOMEONE had to say - yes btc is worth something and prove the point and this thread is the first legitimate instance of that taking place. So bump away people - you have my permission not that it's worth anything ;-) |
