According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

It's pretty easy to buy BitSend on an exchange and transfer it to your wallet in order to start a masternode. The extra volume on the exchanges is helpful to BitSend overall and if the price goes up some that is also helpful to the entire project..... I'm curious as to why you don't want to purchase BSD the normal way?

Funny enough, but first my thought was that this  is a promo of hotel that accepts BSD as payment. In fact would be nice to have such real hotels in Germany and all over the world.

I don't want to deal with an exchange, I don't want to influence the prices, and I want the best deal I can get.  Acquiring the BSD from the exchange, as opposed to acquiring the BSD from a secondary source, shouldn't affect the network differently. It would probably temporarily influence the prices, due to the centralized nature of the exchanges, because Bittrex is the only exchange with any significant volume, but the inorganic market movement shouldn't affect the value.  In contrast, adding a node to the network would positively impact the security of the system, decrease inflationary distribution, and increase the value of the currency in a more significant manner than would a temporary price fluctuation caused by a single green candle on an exchange.

But, having said all that ---> I just want to pay as little as possible ---> 8G's is a lot to fork out for me to not shop around for a deal first ---> right?

Does anybody have a zip file or copy of https://github.com/LIMXTEC/xevan_ccminer?  Not available any more.

My understanding was that it had been pulled due to not being functional.... at least nobody has admitted to getting it to work yet that I know of.  Maybe Christian or Lauda can confirm what the exact issue was with it. :/

I've read the instruction procedure to join the airdrop, but I have question
would it be ok if I use address generated from Paper Wallet Generator listed on the first post?
and later when I install wallet app, can I import this address or have to be swept?
as I understand it, sweeping means transferring coin from old address to new address
also if I want to generate using vanitygen, what's the coin code for bitsend?
thanks in advance for any response and help

I recommend to use this guide for building linux binaries. I add for the next Release version a OSX and Linux wallet.

The best deal you can get is buying from Bittrex. It's also the simplest and safest if you do it sane and does not cost you your anonymity if this is your concern if you do only trade with crypto unlike to other exchanges. The other "reasoning" of you why you do not want to do that is just wired.

The only reason I can follow and you say twice is that you want to pay the lowest price you can get it for. That's valid.
I however doubt anyone will be willing to sell you lower so that you can have your lowest price possible but well good luck.

9G /2.35BTC may be a lot for you but it is not too much for the bitsend bittrex market. If you do not want to spike the price do buy over time or portioned with price steps.
