Let's say I'm sick ass rich and want to diversify. With bitcoin the total possible supply is fixed and will never be changed because it wouldn't be bitcoin any more, the network would never agree to increase the block reward for example. With ethereum you are at the mercy of Vitalik and his friends who can change the rules any time they please. which one I'd gonna choose? Bitcoin obviously. And when the internet goes offline I'd just stick a paper clip with my private keys in my ass and cross the border as I want, it's much better than carrying a gold bar in your anus. bitcoin is simply the ultimate store of value, it's even resistant to the internet kill switch.

They are shitcoins to some degree. Actualy behind ETH there some features. But the current price is not a reflection of that, it's pure pump & dump.
Which is not bad, since eventually people will realize it and come back to the real thing: BItcoin.

Since we all know the price growth for natural buy orders take ages - it can hit over night if there is a group of people or certain number of whales flux the buy order.

And if it did hit, it would be in delays or breaking down series of price within days of the same week or month.

Similar how you saw mt.gox hit $1k the first time.
