It depends for me. There is really no guarantee if the halving will even make a price rally or if the price will stay the same like what the previous halving result was.
What I am certain is that the halving will somehow be a step for bitcoin to reach its full potential. Who knows what could happen, let's just hope that it will be a positive outcome.

Same for me. I think halving will make a movement in bitcoin price but I am sure how high or how low it could be. We dont really know what could we just know that the mining will be lowered than what it is today or a year ago and so on.

This won't be first halving of bitcoin. People are often forget that we had already 1 halving in the past.
If you want check history - see price of bitcoin around November of 2012 when block 210,000 was the first with a block reward subsidy of only 25 BTC.

but bitcoin price increase in halving is unpredictable. no one can say this bitcoin price will go 100% up. that is just like a gambling. every one buying bitcoin and storing them and waiting for halving. but they don't sure what will happen. may be they'll lost or may be they get profit.

i guess thats really high expectations that you have mentioned i doubt that someone actually expects to get any more money from the halving price increase to be honest

i hope that the price will increase at least 50 dollars per bitcoin because it would give me some good money, i dont even expect it to grow any more as it would be really naive

Halving will probably increase the bitcoin price cos mining now is more serious business then ever. Don't think it'll be 2x instantly though

Yes people got high expectations for the halving event coming cause if you see those past halving it takes big part of price increase of bitcoin. And everybody including me believed we were get profit by this event so for now let save more btc for morr income to come.

i think that you should buy some bitcoins now and just keep for halving, in worst case scenario you will sell them at same price you bought but i don't think that price won't rise at all

That is the right attitude/mindset.
Don't get too excited and expect not too much.This way you won't be disappointed.And if you're thinking longterm it shouldn't play that much of a big role for you anyway.

the effect that the upcoming block halving will bring to us may not be as much as you guys are hoping for. that's why it's important not to get excited already. let's see first if the block halving can push people to buy through $600 and then $700. if the price doesn't go up to these levels, then it will most likely stay below $500 for the largest part of this year. that's why i am keeping my head cool.

3) I would say that it is the media who has the most influence over the general population.

4) No idea.

5) It can. Technically Segwit solves the transaction malleability problem which 'caused' the Mt.Gox event. However, exchanges could make sure that higher amounts of coin can't be moved without multi-sig.

6) We can't really be sure.

7) We don't have this information since there is no reliable metric that would help measure it.

Actually halving does not mean necessary raise in price.
But there are strong feelings thats humans want to get rare things, hard to get things.
So bitcoin will be harder to get, it is very possible to see a raise in price even like 2x.
