I don't think you understand, the more funding they have the more value they can produce. Thus the price will increase due to more funding, since they can spend more money on marketing/development.

Which value do they want to produce, its just another "coin". The value or the possibilities don't interest the large amount of capital. The capital is only interested in making profit. And it works for Lisk, due to good marketing and a higher demand than supply (not possible to buy lisk coins since the ICO). The same with the internet bubble in the 00s, no one cared what the companies did. The same applies here, only a hand full of people really believe in the "coins". For most of the part its just making money.
