Hello everyone. I just noticed in my Waves Lite Client that I received wBTC. What's the deal with wBTC? Why I received this and will this be a one-time distribution only? Thanks in advance for those who will answer my questions.

Does WBTC will be distributed in the future again or it was one time distribution to WCT holders? If I'm not mistaken WCT tokens second distribution round is also underway?

If there are else some additional income from activities of the platform, they certainly will be distributed among WCT holders.

Really? It is normal that dumpers will sell their tokens at the very start of trading and sharks will buy. But the interesting part is what will happen then dump goes to the end. I expect that the price of WCT will skyrocket. I may be wrong.

I agree with you in that statement. 'Cause we can see same situation in all big (ICO i mean) alt like Lisk, Wawes and some others. But for me Wawes looks like more promising project than LISK (but also not very good as Byteball for example)

I  dont know, people have been saying this for waves too..."let the dumpers dump and after that the price will go up". Price is still very low.

What is protection against making fake custom assets/tokens on Wavesplatform? Is the name of the asset that was already created somehow protected? Does each asset that was created get their own (unique for this asset) address or ID? All it takes to make a new asset is a few clicks. Let´s say in future will be created many different assets. They can have very similar names (some of them maybe intentionally), how will the future user of all these assets know which is which (and who is who:)?

Agreed, it certainly needs to be addressed, I made an asset called WavesCommunity with 10,000,000 units, I should not be able to do this, it leaves the platform wide open for fraud and abuse by unscrupulous players.

That is nice to see Waves is expanding its partnerships on constant basis. It will be much more helpful for bilateral parties to get benefits from each other and from other involved parties too. Chronobank entered in partnership with Waves to use their experience and platform for their business it is indeed big thing.

That is correct.  The current price they are going for is practically a steal, not sure why anyone would dump them at that rate.  I was able to pick up some more WCT for less than 1.5x the price of Waves on Tidex.

it would be nice and maybe some feature could be added....I think there is away to validate asset by looking at originating address, but that's a bit cumbersome for a platform that is seeking wide user adoption.
for now, each investor is responsible for themselves. its one of the cost/benefits of decentralized p2p platform....as even with centralized authority systems, you still have "caveat emptor" as legal standard.

Its possible that one could create a similar asset intentionally, I wonder if creating is moderated else it would be a disaster. There are already a number of tokens in the platform, i hope the team will also prevent similar ones like tokes, if someone creates another cannabis related token are they going to disallow it?

Very valid point, someone can issue 21million BTC tokens, and that can be confusing to noobs to the crypto-sphere. Might fool them into thinking it is actual Bitcoin.

I believe this protection is already somehow addressed or integrated in platform, but don´t know. Maybe they will moderate and manually check each asset creation, but this is low probability in my opinion, since we talk about decentralization. Other possibility is that price for asset creation is high enough that there will be no ´spam´tokens creation, but fraud is not excluded here (there is still incentive to make worthless, fraudalent token and sell it for the price of real one).
I think that each assets created on platfrom will have unique ID and address (like you can´t deposit ETH to BTC address) so anybody will be able to check the origin. So maybe there will be more issues with ´spam´ tokens, if everyone would want to create their own token?

Exactly, you check ID of an asset and it is usually stressed that you should do it.
In the future I think there will be some ratings and marks and so on.

I'm happy with WBTC.. its better for tidex and Dex to get people using btc tokens
