Yes, unfortunately I have seen it. First, Norris and now Leclerc. I hope Leclerc gets well soon too. I also hope that we don't see any F1 pilot to test positive during the season.

During the season wouldn't be nice. The only good thing what can happen is that Hulkenberg would be back for 1 race.

The last rumors of F1 told us that Lewis kinda secretly signed the new contract but it's only for 3 years and not 4 as he demanded... . In my opinion , he should stay in F1 in trying to go for the 8th title but that would be almost impossible for him as I do believe there will be a fierce battle for the F1 title in 2021.

I saw yesterday the car from Alpine F1 and to be honest it kinda looks awful ...I was expecting to be a bright blue with that orange near it but instead they came with that mix of colors around the car which makes it an old Force India model lmao.

I don't know if they pick black like Mercedes for the Black live matter movement or it is a choice without that reason.

Perhaps the black color was the result of marketing and no one asked the driver if he liked this color. Marketers simply defined the corporate colors and decided that the sports car would be that color and drivers have no choice but to suffer

Verstappen thinks that Red Bull could have dominated F1 like Mercedes is doing now if the turbo hybrid rules hadn't been introduced. I remember the times when Vettel was doing awesome things at Red Bull. Red Bull was really dominant those times.

Don't know but it is a disadvantage for sure having black cars, In hot GP like we will have this year it can be a determination difference.

Also, they are thinking to change race timers again, 10 minutes or 1 hour and 10 minutes earlier, if they will race earlier it will be even hotter than the past year.

I'm not sure that Red Bull would necessarily continue to dominate and Verstappen is a little wishful thinking, because Mercedes itself produces engines unlike Red Bull, but maybe the gap would not be so strong. Well, for this purpose, periodically in Formula 1, changes in technical regulations are carried out to shake up the current state of affairs and allow the rest of the teams to try to create competitive cars.

Whether this commitment suggests that the contract with Hamilton will continue or not next year is of course open to speculation. Difficult to determine how much Mercedes' decision is influenced by what Hamilton wants, and how much by what they think about the issue as a team. In general I suppose, once you've committed to raising an issue, you don't stop unless something significant happens to address it.

I've heard something that Monaco, Azerbaijan and Canada GPs could be cancelled this season. And also it is said that Turkish GP could enter the calendar in the place of Monaco GP in May. I'm really excited about the possibility of Turkish GP could still be added. I hope it happens but I'd like to see Monaco GP too. There is no official statement about it so let's just wait for it.

I just heard that Davide Brivio former Boss Joan Mir has joined the Alpine F1 Team. At F1 Brivio will work as a racing director, who has the task of reporting directly to Alpine CEO, Laurent Rossi. Nearly 20 years of experience in MotoGP will make it good although it looks like it will be a little different. Besides that I think he wants to try new things after successfully bringing the Suzuki team through Joan Mir the MotoGP world champion.

The only reason other teams started catching up a bit in the second half of last season is because Mercedes were so dominant in the first half that they stopped development on their 2020 car to focus on the 2021 iteration. Which means the best team already has a head-start on the others. Couple this with the fact that permitted development is very restricted for 2021, and it looks a good bet that the Mercedes dominance will continue... at least until the 2022 regulations reset.

I agree 100% that Mercedes is somewhat ahead however a lot of teams will be competing head to head against them during this season,McLaren will have Mercedes engines again so we have to see how it will fold out.Aston Martin and Alpine are teams I expect to give tone to this year F1 season together with Redbull and Ferrari.

I still wonder whether Verstappen will become world champion with this team. Mercedes has a much more powerful engine. Red Bull management is top notch, but you can't make it with management alone.
I can not imagine that Hamilton would accept if if Verstappen will be next to him in the spot in Mercedes.

Mercedes have too far a developmental lead, so i don't think a other team can beat Mercedes over the whole year. It will probably not matter whether Hamilton drives a Mercedes or not, the probability that a Mercedes driver will become world champion is very high.

This is good news, because Monaco is one of the iconic Formula 1 tracks and the championship would lose some of the charm from the cancellation of the races. As far as I understand, but the representative of Formula 1 now generally stated that the calendar has already been determined, there is no question of canceling city races and all planned city races will take place as planned.
