I'm in the middle of the next job switch. I hope that I'll negotiate 3/4 of full time. If that will happen till 1st of february I can take on my responsibility to create XEL website.

BUT

I need materials
I need texts
I need Q&A; I need FAQ
I need content overall

WIKI isn't enough

I can create a nice, secure, relabile website but I need @EK/@coralreefer brains to fill it with content.

@EK, I know you don't answer to PMs but I'll need you in february with your brain and pen.

I think that we also need a forum. If something happen to BCT we are all in deep hole.

I can provide that but I need your brilliant brains to cooperate. Without that website will be nice looking, empty place.

thanks for doing this ! I really like the idea of a forum

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I remember that there were promised release in December 2016. Perhaps I'm wrong. You are close to release or are still very far? You must be faster than the golem to keep him competitive. I believe in you and wait for release.

No such promise was made by the devs. It might have been wishful thinking on the part of some users though.

I think XEL is ahead of Golem right now, though this is no reason to feel relaxed. I too hope for a mainet release to be close but with tech projects you never know

Im really getting tired of reading all the bitching you noobs are doing.  EK does not have to deliver anything, he did not initiate this project and collect any BTC.  Lannister collected our BTC "donations" and basically abandoned the project.  We should all feel fortunate that some people have picked it up and are working on it out of their own volition.

Its actually quite amazing that EK and the other people working on this project FOR FREE have not given up given the amount of losers posting here about deadlines and road maps and demanding this or that as if the people currently working on Elastic owe them anything.  These devs certainly have more patience than I do, I would have told all you whiners to F*CK OFF a long time ago.

Be happy that people have actually taken an interest in this project and devoted a lot of time to its development, these are obviously smart individuals and could be spending that time in very well paying jobs.  Fortunately for us not all people are solely driven by money.

I am very appreciative of all the hard work that EK and other have put into this project and I thank you sincerely.  However long it takes to get it to a finished state that you are satisfied with is absolutely fine.  Please ignore all the whiners in the thread who likely donated some dust and now make these frivolous demands.

EK should be canonised for all the patience he has shown.  People need to stop making demands, stop sending him PMs and let the man do what he does best.

Friendly Reminder: For a man of your Legendary status, I was expecting a bit more professional language. While admiring the hard work of devs is very much appreciated and is in everyone's mind, cursing the ones that are eager to see this awesome project glow is not very nice.

I can identify my donations/transactions on the genesis block:
https://github.com/elastic-project/genesis-block/blob/master/genesis-block.json

However, I don't understand how to find those transactions/donations/XEL-amount on the dropbox link:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21000833/Elastic/Icolist/Ico-list.txt

I do not understand how the identification key in the last column works. How do I identify my XEL amounts? Pictured here:
http://imgur.com/a/4WsSm

Thanks,
TWJ

Congrats to the team. I can understand if private messages are becoming overwhelming. From working around software, it's sometimes crucial to cut out any distractions, especially when you're so close to your goals. I'm sure if you have all come this far, then you'll make it to the finish line. Congrats again.

This is not "identification key". This is BTC address(es) from which you donated. If you know your BTC address(es) or TXID when you donated to XEL ICO you can easily find it on this list.

More clear list without pointless advertisement is here:

I can easily find my transactions on the genesis block page.

On the XEL amount page, I cannot find my bitcoin address. Mine starts with a 3. I notice none of them do this. Do I have to do something special?

I think this is because I have some sort of multi-sig wallet?

Anybody, sorry to keep bothering, but I don't want the question to get lost.

On this page:
http://elasticexplorer.org/share/ico-list.txt

How can I identify my multi-sig/P2SH bitcoin address, which starts with a 3?

Are they somehow converted to the longer listings on the above link? For example:

It is not exactly mining , but most solving a task that's distributed to a network of computers that run a miner-solver . The reward comes from a bounty that's set from he who wants his task to be solved .
My poor english don't let me explain better , hopefully someone can elaborate to give a more precise explanation .

Since you downloaded newest git version (i suppose 0.9) it is not compatible with current testnet nodes. All nodes in config file belongs to @EK and running on 0.8. Those nodes are banning your so you can't download blockchain.

@EK is focusing on interperter, editor and miner since few months. This is good and bad sign.

@EK please be sure before mainnet that coin itself is bulletproof.

Damaged coin + working interpreter + working editor + working miner = Elastic is dead.
Working coin + damaged interpreter + damaged editor + damaged miner = Elastic can easily handle this to fix it.

We simply can't provide to people and exchanges something that people/exchanges lost trust in it. Money need to be trust in crypto world. If something will happen with coin, all Elastic dreams will go away in one day.

I know that you (@EK) are not economist. Please remember that coin for Elastic is top priority.

Also remember to reset testnet.

Actually, we all are focussing on the ElasticPL language right now, which imho is a good sign! Because:

Working coin + working interpreter + working editor + working miner + ElasticPL hasn't enough functions to solve real world problems = Elastic is dead.

But if anyone wants to do some sort of code evaluation on the coin (core client) itself, I guess everyone here would appreciate that!

Agree. I just want to highlight that before mainnet would be great if coin will be green, not red Smiley Keep up awesome work. I hope I'll join in february to help with easy things like website and forum.

But please update and reset damn testnet Smiley People want to test it Smiley

Another competitor appeared iEx.ec, now it is necessary to understand who will issue a working product before others. More chances Elastic, because you had more time. Golem also has a good chance, because they has a great investment. iEx.ec new but already drawn the attention.

I agree PR is very important - without it anything could just end up a cool technology that is run by 12 hardcore fans...
