i don't remember seeing an option to pay with Bitcoin on checkout.  where was it?  can anyone post pics of this step?  tried to buy 2 units but WalletBit tried to charge $3 or 0.15BTC.

Did you create/were you logged in with a wordpress account?

i was logged into my WalletBit account at the time but thru another page.
There were 3rd party cookie issues for some...  I'm using Chrome w/Ubuntu and I didn't have those issues, but I experienced what you did which was only rectified by creating a wordpress account through the Avalon store.

wow.  i'm in Chrome on Mac with cookies enabled.  i do remember having to try and create a Wordpress account (WTF?) but that ended up kicking me off the checkout cart IIRC.  sucks.

Filled out shipping information and ordered 1 unit... but got charged $1 by walletbit.

Sounds like I missed out on batch #2... good luck to the people who got in!

Some light reading while you fume -  see how much you would have made as a batch 2 owner in a high electricity cost country:

http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/2013/02/98-asic-choices-avalon-update.html

I'm disappointed your definition of high electricity cost country is $0.25/kwh, considering I'm getting bent over with 0.32/kwh in California.

Team Avalon, can we call this launch off already?  It's been 2.5 hours now.  I've got things to do out of the house.

Keep what orders came through, and schedule a new relaunch to sell the rest, at least 24h from now.

Thx.

I've been stuck at this point, trying to do a trade in:

You need to login/create a wordpress account.   Which is ironic since we were only notified about that after the initial sold out status was put up.

Really? I thought we had it bad. US miners are always banging on about their US$0.09 to US$0.15 per kWh, I didn't realise it varied that much.

I'll post something for Californians when I wake up (which will be after I go to bed, not after I have yet another coffee).

I did end up finishing the original post, but beware - it's nearly 4am here and there will be typos.

During the time I have tried to buy, I succesfuly created a Wordpress account but it didn't help me.
Funny thing is, after "Status: Investigating Issues" I created a walletbit account, and big surprise. When it requested me a pin, walletbit wanted to activate my camera!

Weird. I don't have a Walletbit account, but I wouldn't think it could do that unless it was using Flash or Java or some other add-in. Maybe it's an insurance sort of thing?

Anyway, I'm done waiting this morning, I have a package I gotta get from the post office, good luck to the rest of you trying to get in this morning. Maybe those of us with Icarus and Lancelots to trade in will get another go at it or something...

Also for me requested location, but let's say that I can understand this as a (strange) security measure, and anyway I had filled my shipping address to avalon so I didn't care too much Sad

I tried this and sent the BTC to walletbit. 6 confirms later, they show no balance...
The real blockchain.info shows 6 confirms, of course walletbit links to some ghetto ripoff (blockchain.dk) that is not working properly.

Yes, this is my situation too.

[EDIT] The deposits have shown up. Maybe db issues for walletbit.
