Science isn't religion. Science is facts, religion is not. Believing in the truth/facts of life, the earth or whatever doesn't mean it's a religion

Science is not religion. But science theory is not known to be factual. If science theory were proven to be factual, it would be science law, not science theory. When a person believes science theory to be factual, he has a science religion going for himself.

I remember there is a science religion, known as scientology. Religion and science are very much different. There is somewhat a deeper connection between them.

However, my post above yours shows how many people treat science as religion all the time.

While many in main stream science claim to be atheist and believe in the Big Bang and the eventual Deep Freeze due to entropy. Is it not curious to consider that the very underpinnings of this belief is based on mathematics, was it too created in the big bang? if so how was it constructed? one digit at a time?
I think not it has always been there and will always remain its an eternal masterpiece that permeates every conceivable facet or reality yet in its self it is purely abstract. Without it nothing would exist, but it in itself it is nonexistent and existent at the same time. It is the language of the living universe. Its permutations are infinite, yet it did not grow, it has always been complete and eternal.
We had our own opinion and perception regarding this thing, for me science is connected into bible but it is not a religion, though I know religion was very mysterious things. But it can't be the same thing in science. Before scientist appear in this planet, the contents of science was already here on earth.

By definition, no. Though there are science proving or supporting religion because they have found logical evidence regarding it. Take in account that Science is systematic and organized body of knowledge by seeking it through logical reasonings and evidence though I am not saying that those who studies Science are atheist. The point is a religion worships a supreme being or also known as God and Science on the other hand seeks knowledge so thus differentiating it to the religion.<

I don't think science is a religion.Science is indepented and have no one god to worship. The only law is this of mathimetics and logic. There are indeed many scientists who don't believe in any religion and declare that they are atheists.Apparently this something means...

I think te most important part to think about is what caused a giant mass of matter to explode in a big bang.
If it has happened before it can happen again and has happened before and is happening again now.
If the universe is truly infinite many realities and times pop in and out of existence. There could be a god if the univserse if infinite, there could be many gods. There could be no gods. It is all tru eand untrue at the same time.
If anyone here tells you they know, they are lying. They know whhat we know so far, everything else is a theory.

No, science is not a religion, just a tool (that try) to explain what we can't understand and give us solutions to different phenomenon.

I only see science as a study of everything, discovering the reasons and purpose of each of existing organisms and materials in this planet, it also study what lies outside the atmosphere and the universe. For me its not a religion, but I don't know to some researchers or scientist that are rational.

Scientology is not a "science religion"... 75 million years ago Xenu brought billions of people to Earth in spacecraft resembling Douglas DC-8 airliners, stacked them around volcanoes and detonated hydrogen bombs in the volcanoes. The thetans then clustered together, stuck to the bodies of the living, and continue to do this today. Scientologists at advanced levels place considerable emphasis on isolating body thetans and neutralizing their ill effects
Does that sound like science to you? LOL ROFL LMFAO People get trolled so hard with names... Don't judge a book by it's cover... I bet you think Satanists worship Satan?

Science is not a religion and even contradicts it. Religion is based on faith, and science relies only on scientific facts that can be seen. I soon think that religion will disappear altogether.

What religion currently exists? Religion is a myth. In fact, people do not believe in God. Look at their actions. Is this the actions of believers in God's people? Look at the way of life of the Church. They have the right to be called such? They just say they believe in God. Religion is already dead.

Well, science is not religion and it doesn’t just come down to faith. Although it has many of religion’s virtues, it has none of its vices. Science is based upon verifiable evidence. Religious faith not only lacks evidence, its independence from evidence is its pride and joy, shouted from the rooftops

According to a detailed definition of "religion," anything that a person supports rather dynamically, and believes in is a religion for him.

According to Tom Cruise it is. haha But for real, there are some who thinks science is a religion probably because they believe in science. And science usually contradicts what was said in the bible, like how the world was created. Both have beliefs on how it is created.

In my opinion, it is a polymorphic. For those who didnt understand what I meant, A religion may have been started by a human but there may be some science behind it. We are thinking that we are technologically forward than what people were centuries ago. But I feel they were smarter than us. They calculated all the distances between planets and all. So Science and Religion are just 2 faces of the same coin.
