Science is method. I will give you an example. You have two apples one is poisones and the other is healthy.

The scientific method is to examine the contents of small piece.
The un-scientific method could be to guess.

It is that simple, religion is about joining people together to have common cause for good or bad.

The answer is obvious, NO NO NO. Science is a systematically organized body of knowledge on a particular subject while religion is a particular system of faith and worship. Obviously this two are different terms and as we all know science and religion are two opposite things. Comparing it is not really a good idea. It's like comparing a cat and a dog. There are things about the religion that science tried to explain but they really can't no matter how brilliant the scientist is. A lot as study has been made but they haven't found the explanation about the miracles happened on the bible.

While many in main stream science claim to be atheist and believe in the Big Bang and the eventual Deep Freeze due to entropy. Is it not curious to consider that the very underpinnings of this belief is based on mathematics, was it too created in the big bang? if so how was it constructed? one digit at a time?

I think not it has always been there and will always remain its an eternal masterpiece that permeates every conceivable facet or reality yet in its self it is purely abstract. Without it nothing would exist, but it in itself it is nonexistent and existent at the same time. It is the language of the living universe. Its permutations are infinite, yet it did not grow, it has always been complete and eternal.
Science is not a religion.it is a study of living and not leaving things how  will the volcanoes errupt .about                     our climate  change.and religion is about values

Science is not a religion but sometimes they are the means to confirm what the bible says about God and creation by the evidences that they found. They may not accept it or believe it happens they search and study it only to find that it was all written in the scripture they just can't believe it's true, that what Science is all about.

I consider that science is not religion and it doesn’t just come down to faith. Although it has many of religion’s virtues, it has none of its vices. Science is based upon verifiable evidence. Religious faith not only lacks evidence, its independence from evidence is its pride and joy. In my opinion, there is the difference in the world between a belief that one is prepared to defend by quoting evidence and logic and a belief that is supported by  tradition, authority, or revelation.

No. Science is not religion. But religion is the thing that tries to answer the questions that science is not able to.

Religion and science will never be able to connect

According to religion: the universe was created by God, somehow and somehow not clear. Proof: nothing, except just believe it

according to science: the universe stems from a big bang (big bang). booming from an infinite density point, then evolved for billions of years until today. proof: the remnants of radiation when the bang starts, the radiation is evenly distributed throughout the universe regardless of direction. Every matter in the universe has been observed to move into each other, and this can only be explained if at any time all matter ever existed at one point.

2.according to religion: Allah created man, adam and air. When where ?.the problem arises as follows: if man now originates only from one grandfather (adam) and one ancestor (Eve) and not because of evolution, why so many human races. there is black, white, yellow. there are blue eyes, brown, slanted. there is curly hair, curly, straight. means we are all one ancestor, then marriage among fellow human is marriage fellow brother.

according to science: human beings come from something that undergoes evolution, selection, mutation, so it is now, and will continue to evolve, be selectible, mutate, or become what it will be like. Man is not a direct and direct creation as it is today. Scientific evidence of this is overwhelming. And evolution, this selection of mutations has been going on for millions of years .

Religion claims to have all the answers and is not subject to change despite any proof otherwise.

Science establishes an answer through methodical and repeatable experimentation.  Theories are either proven or superseded by an updated theory based on new evidence or observations made.

Imagine the world without science, we would basically be living in caves with a life expectancy of around 40.

Now imagine a world without religion - bliss although people would have to find new reasons to kill each other.

Many scientists go to church.      Cool

There are times that I also think it is. I mean thinking of the Illuminati from the past, practically their religion is Science because they believe that there must be good logical explanations as to what the church believes in. They are simply not Atheists, although the beliefs of both are different in some ways. That's why it would be possible to generalize Science as a religion.

I think that science a religion because in science they believe in big bang theory and that human came from apes (theory of evolution) while in religion believe that god made all things.

No. the fact that most scientist does not believe in the existence of God does not qualify science to be a religion

It's the exact opposite. Science is driven by fact while religion is only myths and legends

Faith, being belief that isn’t based on evidence, is the principal vice of any religion. Well, science is not religion and it doesn’t just come down to faith. Although it has many of religion’s virtues, it has none of its vices. Science is based upon verifiable evidence. Religious faith not only lacks evidence, its independence from evidence is its pride and joy, shouted from the rooftops.

Very true... Religion is more on blind and in-proven faith.. Science deals with what's real and useful.

Science can never be a religion. But there are people using science as their
basis in living. Religion is not only a myths and legends, it depends on how you believe
and it's about someone's faith.

No, science is not a religion it is a subject matter in school.  Religion is an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods, according to dictionary and Science is knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation.

Science is a religion and religion is science. I really do not see how they are mutually exclusive. I guess it all depends on how you define the words though, in my opinion the only difference is which nut we usually try to crack with which tool.

Anyways, peace!
