Using bitcoin as an investment is good as everyone is looking to make profits from it but you also should use it as a currency to make it more stronger and powerful currency.

Agree and a currency that is being used globally will result for a good and strong currency with best foundation.

And besides, bitcoin was made because of it's currency purposes and not as an investment. We just need to use it as an investment so that it can become popular for other people.

I think bitcoin will become more popular if it is used as a currency and if there are many shops that start accepting  bitcoin as a payment then it will draw more attention of people.

Somehow it's true. But people are used to have a same currency traits so it's better for bitcoin that it gained popularity first from investment. Then after establishing it's name as a strong currency, it can be used now purely as a currency like any fiat will do. Also it's unique feature compare to other currency will add some good reason why people must use this currency.

There will always be people that use BTC as a stock/investment and as pointed out before that's partly because lack of uses (in person of course) for BTC. Once that changes and people use BTC instead of converting to fiat each time, the price of BTC won't rise much anyways because along with that govts will tax on BTC

Splendid. I also invested in but just in some wallet website. Now because of what happened with bitfinex I am trying to look for a more trusted exchange site to put all my savings.

if you are from philippines you can choose coins.ph where it easy to exchange bitcoin into peso because it has 2 wallet's to choose and easy to use because they partners in some remitance center where you can withdraw you money if you sell your bitcoins and if you have banks you can deposit your bitcoins into your banks

You are right, I'll be very happy when or if it is used as a more widespread payment medium. There are clear benefits, its an international currency, clearing is faster than a bank clearing system (at least for me, confirmation takes a few minutes compared to days for my credit card), its also much cheaper than credit card transactions. Problems are that bitcoin is not backed by any government central banks, tax laws are not existing or primitive for BTC transactions and there is the price volatility and security concerns amongst other things. But its still a very new concept and I hope things will progress.

I used them both, But majority is investment. I'm doing it because I do believe with this stuff which is bitcoins I can have savings in the near future. Especially if the price goes down I'm gonna take the chance to buy bitcoins. But while Im on trading process I wanna make it grow first so that I have some money that I can use it as payment for the things I want to buy.

Same thing that I will do.  Leaving bitcoin in  the wallet and waiting for the price to increase is just wasting lots of opportunity to multiply your money.  Making it sleep is not the way  it must be.  You should trade it actively , by trading altcoin and other increasing stocks. It will give more profit to you.

But many sites right now are accepting bicoin as payment and i think you can use bitcoin in brazil if you are live there.. 150 stores are accepting bitcoin as payment,

I agree with eddyubachs that until stores in your country accept bitcoin as payment, treating bitcoin as investment is the way to go.. In the country I am living right now, stores are not accepting bitcoin and I use bitcoin for exchange, lending, and gambling only.
