I have to say guys, so far I am not really impressed with current operations:

1. The way the team setup to acquire a new logo feels amateurish
2. There are no updates whatsoever, not even weekly updates
3. Devs do not partake in the community discussion, do they actually care what we are saying here?

Am I just complaining, because to be honest I expected more from a "professional" team.

Thoughts?

On Sunday, June 19, we sent a detailed update to all email subscribers. In this update, we announced the Logo contest, and explained the status of the DAO proposal. We also explained that for the next 2 weeks we would be working hard to finish the Profit Sharing module to publish in our public GitHub repository on Friday July 1st.  This is happening on schedule, including a major press release followed by a written synopsis of the feature.

For the past two weeks we have also been finalizing plans for everything we will be rolling out this summer, including additional contests and an advertising referral program. We are keeping an eye on the Logo contest and I assure you that we will not be adopting any Logo for Peerplays that does not meet a strict standard of excellence. The $1250 is essentially a bounty for the Logo, and we will not pay that bounty until we have a satisfactory design.

I do not blame you for being impatient, but please understand that we are undertaking quite a feat of engineering on the development side, and none of our dev team are regular forum dwellers. That said, Dan Notestein (our lead blockchain dev) did make an short appearance on this thread a couple days ago. His bitcointalk ID is "dannote".

We have a news and update site that is at least as extensive as any other crypto project I have seen, and we will continue to publish updates as often as they are available. I am also speaking with the dev team to see about the possibility of giving regular development updates, even though they would likely be just a brief overview, it would perhaps give everyone something to chew on.

As far as community interaction, we will be opening a slack channel towards the middle of next month (July), and we always try to answer PMs in a timely manner. Personally, I am looking forward to getting to know many of you in the future, and I apologize that I have not been able to answer every single form question for the last week. We are focused on delivering a highly advanced product in a relatively short period of time, and there is much work to be done. I would ask for your forgiveness if we have not been 100% perfect in every area Smiley

Nevertheless, I do appreciate the feedback and I will take it to heart.

Awesome man.  That reply goes a long way.  I'm good for a bit  Grin

The fact you will be opening up a slack channel next month is great.  I will want an invite.

I cant wait to see the info on the profit sharing.  It's exciting that it will be this Friday.

I see the news updates posted on the site, but I do a lot of my browsing using my phone while at work, and the site it taxing on a mobile device so i use BCT for my info fix.  When slack is up, I will use that too.

Thank you again CryptoPrometheus for the detailed update and rapid response.

When crowdslae end,how i check my invest?

The first two tiers of the crowdsale have sold out.  In October, Peerplays will do an auction style offering for the remaining 500k tokens.  There will only ever be 1 million tokens with no inflation.

They had to be purchased from the Peerplays website in bundles of 10 tokens (first tier 100k were $2 per token, 2nd tier were 100k @ $3 per token), then you created a ticket, and the team would send your tokens to your openledger/freedomledger BTS account.  Currently you can buy them on BTS' exchange using a few different currency pairings.  The most popular is BTS/Peerplays.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for dropping in to give us an update, CP!

I see seven team member photos in the OP. I think it would be good for the community to know the btctalk handle for each of these team members. If this information is already public, can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance Smiley

I believe each of them dropped in and introduced themselves in the first several pages.

Edit to Add - Five of the Team Members dropped in through the first 7 pages.  I decided to stop after that.  I know it can be daunting to sift through a thread when it gets to a certain length so I'll list them here for easy access.

It's on FreedomLedger.  That has been stated multiple times throughout the thread.  That said, I am unsure why anyone would want to trade this.  I bought with the understanding that this was a long term hold.  Not sure how many others feel the same but the holders list has increased since the end of crowdsale...

I don't really want this on any other exchange until after testnet.  Even then, I think that it should be listed at the impetus of others.  I want to hold long term and discuss moving possible dividends back into development if it comes to that (I hope it does).

Edit - There is a peerplays forum on Steemit and Neil posted an awesome Intro...which makes me more excited for this project.  I recommend checking it out.

I understand the community's need for updates. When you invest your hard earned money, a little bit of communication goes a long way.

There's also a careful balance that we have to strike between investing time in community updates and investing time in the project work itself.

Both are very important of course because:

1. We wish to maintain the confidence of the community and the contributors
2. We wish to focus as much energy as possible in building the project so it is the best it can be

I personally will increase my level of community participation.

I must admit to being a little distracted lately with all the chaos surrounding our (Britain's) decision to leave the EU Smiley

Definitely a long hold.  I still hold every single token I putchased, and if I had a few extra btc, I'd love to be able to take out those sells at 633 BTS and at 700.

You better believe it.  And with the possibilty of profit sharing (which the details should be coming out in the next day or so), why wouldn't I?  Who doesn't love the idea of passive income in crypto.

Good day,

Tomorrow (July 1st) Michael will be on the Beyond Bitcoin hangout at 10am EST to talk about the profit sharing module. For information on how to join in go here:

http://www.peerplays.com/news/beyond-bitcoin/

I won't be at the hangout giving the update tomorrow because I have organized a fund raising event for our local military museum and pre-school for Canada Day weekend.

You can see we got featured on the front cover of the newspaper:

For the full story on this you can see it here:

http://www.trurodaily.com/News/Local/2016-06-29/article-4574334/Back-to-Cold-War-era%3A-Tours-of-Diefenbunker-being-held-Friday-and-Saturday/1

Picture you see is from the Diefenbunker Facebook page (this is where BunkerChain Labs Inc is headquartered):

https://www.facebook.com/Debert.Diefenbunker/

I'm Really excited about the release of the Profit Sharing module. This is a great innovation in blockchain technology that we are very proud to be bringing forward!

I hope many of you have a chance to join in the hangout tomorrow, but if not we will post the link here afterwards.

Happy to see a hangout is on the agenda Smiley

It's a good thing because breakout chain has put together quite a nice product up to this point and there is much more in the works for them as well. This will not be an easy task and it seems the competition will be stiff as a board. I would say, right now, they have the upper hand, since they've completed quite a bit of development.  Not to mention, they have some big time poker players backing them.

Peerplays certainly has their work cut out and I'm excited to see this race unfold.  There is plenty of room for two gaming platforms, so I'm supporting both.

Good luck.....make us proud to hold your token Wink

peace
