How can i connect multiple Antminer S9's for example if i have three Antminer S9's how can i connect it to a single laptop with the help of psu do i need three seperate psu's for that please guide me how to connect 3 Antminer's to my system , from a grid - tie inverter.

I think You will want to connect them to the Router that the computer uses to connect to the net and Yes probably 3, depends on how big the psu is(also 110 or 220(location))

Ok i will ask for your guidance , when i get them , that would be the best way also i can see some manuals for Antminer S9 .

If you have a router/modem,all in one kinda thing with many ethernet ports, just run the ethernet cables & log in through your laptop via wifi & look for the IP address on the S9 in a browser.

If you only have 1 ethernet cable connection on your modem get a simple 4 port switch, not a router & plug all in & again log in via a browser page on your laptop with the IP's on the S9's  Wink

I have a d-link wireless n - 300 router , router has 4 ethernet ports does this mean i can connect four Antminer S9's through it.

So the connection will be like from grid- tie inverter , to Psu and then to Antminer S9 , and then to Ethernet ports and then to laptop isn't it .??

I will need to go over to the solar array today and figure out if it is dead  or can be brought back to life.

I have a d-link wireless n - 300 router , how can i connect it to the S9 also must i connect the psu from the grid - tie Inverter and then connect it to the Antminer S9 Huh.

Just run a ethernet cable to where the miners will be & get a switch (like I linked to in my earlier post) & plug them into it like you would a PC,very easy. You don't have to connect anything to your laptop.

Then just open a browser (Internet Explorer,Firefox,Chrome,etc...) & type in the IP (in the address bar) that is on the miner for each of them to get into them  Cheesy

You can save those pages as favorites so you can get back to them quickly  Wink

As far as PSU's info, these guys can help with that,I no longer mine Bitcoin...I am a GPU miner once again  Cool

OK then somewhat i am clear so now i gotta buy ethernet cables as well to connect the miner's so thing's needed would be a psu and ethernet cables which i can connect to laptop ok then.

Yes,you won't need a switch then  Wink

Do you know your network IP?? Like is it 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 ?? You may need to change the miner IP to work with your network.....you may not have to if it matches that 3rd number  Cool

You can cross that bridge later when you get the miners.............

Read section 4:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1526215

What IP range do the S9's come with, anyone pipe up on this??

Are you sure your not having power supply issues.  Reason I ask is since your on solar im wondering if there isn't a drop in voltage happening causing a spike in amperage.  Do you have any kind of device that monitors line voltage?  Could get one that monitors it 24/7 and records the data to pc. Maybe that will show something your missing.  I wonder what happens when the solar unit swaps from sun to grid under full load?

also another thought. Is this the same psu you have been using on this unit when the other two failed?  Could be that the psu is faulty in some way?

Has Bitmain given any hints as to when they will have S9's available?

I honestly hope they pull the plug on sales. Its the only way to keep the diff from going crazy with these prices. It would be nice to have a 6 month window with no new gear at all like when the S5 ended and nobody had anything for quite a while.

Honestly unless your brand new to mining I don't see how you can't have all your S9 miners yet with 22 batches out over the last 7 months.

Nahhhh, the last thing I want is to lose access to upgrading my gear. It would be bad for the community and bitcoin security if access is limited. It would be bad business on Bitmains part.

they will sell hash on hash nest

hey, Phil, were you able to contest your customs bill?
I also got one, but I am not sure why it is so, considering that they are non-identical items with clearly separate orders.
I get it if they think that it is aluminum scrap, but in case of separate computer products, each having a different ID, I just don't see it as being right.

Heard longer warranty, possibly higher price, new announcement.
That's all I have. Kinda cryptic.
You will hear about it before I do.
Like 180 day warranty.

I am curious what that means when we say "longer warranty".  They could say lifetime warranty for that matter... So far the feedback here on the forum seems to indicate that people are not getting warranty coverage.

If you  are shipping back to China with no insurance for replacement/repair(they tell you to declare the value at less than $45), lost productivity time, and high shipping costs.... IF you can get Bitmain to honor the warranty it sounds like you may have to consider yourself lucky.  And the failure rates people are reporting here are still pretty high.

So what value is the warranty if the cost under warranty turns out to be about the same as the cost to just send it to BitmainWarranty for support?  At this point extending the warranty for Bitmain is just a marketing move because it doesn't cost them anything and somehow it eases the customers mind.. Until they have to use it.

NO. Major scammer alert on this.

The simple fact that the ASIC chips themselves are boutique items (produced in small batches vs in continuous mass-production cycles) and ergo in extremely short supply means ONLY Bitmain will ever make and sell miners based on their chips. Plain and simple fact is that Bitmain has absolutely no reason to have bare chips produced that are destined for resale to other manufacturers.

You may want to try the autotune firmware, the latest firmware from bitmain.
I take it that you have tried the save&apply button on the configuration page and the reboot from the gui.
Power supplies can be funny too, I use bitmain 1600 mainly.
I do have a few s9's  I run in pairs with three corsair rm1000 psu's.
Each rm1000 runs two boards. They are much quieter. The bitmain 1600 has a bit of a whine with the small fan on it.
