Does anyone have the numbers on how much heat in BTU's an S9 puts out, and at what CFM? I want to calculate how much CFM my exhaust fans need to have so it exceeds the amount CFM that the miners (and swamp cooler) put out, and how much cooling I will need based upon how much heat the S9 (and dehumidifier) generates. Thanks!

1st thought should be to Google 'convert watts to BTU'. Why does no one seem to know how to use search engines.... FWIW, BTU/hr=Watts x 3.4129
The CFM, fair question. Don't think there is any data on that. I believe the fans move 250CFM free-air but under load, pure guesswork. I'd ballpark it as around 150CFM

I didn't know figuring out BTU was as simple as plugging in the number of watts, I thought it was different for every machine. Some machines are less efficient so they put out more heat per watt, some are designed better than others so they put out less heat per watt, etc. was my line of logic.

The miner efficiency is irrelevant and only compares hash rate to power used, has nothing to do with heat load. For any electric power heat source they are all 100% efficient. Power in = power out as heat. Cooling is of course another matter as it involves work moving heat from one location to another, not creating heat. In that case efficiency does matter but only in the sense that it takes x amount of power turned into y amount of mechanical energy (with losses turned into heat) to move z amount of heat energy.

I looked up the specs of the Antminer fans, they output 220 CFM at 6000 rpm with no diff pressure. In practice there will be diff pressure across the miner so it should be somewhat less.

What would my daily BTC be from an S9 @13.5 TH/s?
I have a chance to buy one for $1800 Canadian funds that includes power supply.
Trying to determine ROI

If you did your maths correctly, I'm guessing that most people wish they had your cheap electric rates.

Hello, I couldn't find my answer on Bitmain's website.
Is it possible to change the frequency, to underclock or overclock, the S9-13.5TH/s and S9-11.5TH/s, that are sold at the moment on Bitmain's webshop ?
Thanks

No, they auto-tune during each startup/reboot. Been that way for many batches now.

400 watts of free electricity is not the same as only 400 watts of power.

No, they auto-tune during each startup/reboot. Been that way for many batches now. This is simply not true! They run the autotune routine ONLY on first start or after a hard reset (possibly on other rare occasions), but definitely not after every restart be it clean or unclean. There is a flag set in the filesystem that triggers the autotune routine. Maybe somebody could point out where it is exactly - cannot remember off the top of my head. I am certain you would find lots of takers for a single (working and new) hashboard, judging by the amount of boards that seem to be breaking.

Source: Operating S9-13.5TH/s miner. It seems as though you have a major misconception about what the auto-frequency is and how it works. "Autotune" is an uniformed, social-media contrived name based on too many misconceptions of what happens in the process. When it comes to "newer" models of S9s, auto-frequency has a specific frequency set for each chip. This frequency is set in the PIC, and this setting is done prior to shipping to the consumer.
