Extremely curious to find out what their game plan is. Is it now a massive cash grab and them getting ready to shut down shop (extreme paranoia)? I don't get how they are going to ship tens of thousands of miners in March. L3+, multiple A3 batches, multiple S9 batches...

They could've already manufactured these miners beforehand and they're just planning to dump them all in March. Considering difficulty is continuing to skyrocket and the price continues to fall, Bitmain could be doing this to prepare for the launch of a new miner. All speculation though.

Sold out again, just now. I'm in the US, northeast, can anybody lay out for me what additional expenses I can expect? Shipping, customs, etc. I read the thread, there's some conflicting information in there, especially the ups hostage taking thing, which I understand seems random, but the rest of it I'd love to see it laid out in simple terms. If anyone familiar has the time. Please and thank you.

You need PSU - $105 Shipping ~$140 per unit Customs depends how many units you buy. If you buy under $2,500 should be no customs. Not sure how UPS charges but I paid ~$40 for 6 units as well as 1 unit (which was actually under $2,500). I think when you already in their system and it comes from the same location in China they will charge you even if it's under $2,500. Maybe somebody else had different experience?

T9+ seems useless, uses more power for 25% less hashrate.

Antminer s9 in stock for $2300
Good opportunity for anyone trying to buy at a low cost. If bitcoin goes back to $20,000 these things will sell for twice as much so it's a good time to buy if you have a low cost of electricity.

It’s already been proven that the t9 is more reliable than the s9.

This is not good. Difficulty going up and more manufacturers joining the asic party as it is. Bitcoin price is now consolidating/stagnating. To make matters worst, news sources keep saying mining is great. Hope those new manufacturers think about it and dont join the asic party as we dont need more difficulty....

All 16mm, so they either up the efficiency or they continue to run the s9's into the ground.

Not good. It seems the asic manufacturers are going to war? Bitmain will win but at wat cosr to miners. Reminds me of how OPEC increased production to kill off shale oil producers. OPEC made far lesser money then and shale oil producers lost alot. I guess this will be the case for samsung. Mining profit will be really low though, unfortunately. Juz a 6 gpu rig makes alot more than any asic now lol. That is ridiculous considering asic is so much easier to handle.

Definitely some underlying reason why they are selling off, new more powerful miners coming out in April from other suppliers. They are grabbing cash while they can, Bitmain are always good to watch as their market predictions are in the majority correct. BCH at v low price that they accept for miners, almost certain to rise soon if Bitmain are receiving them now.
