I would aswell, I was a little surprised they did not lower it more for this batch. It’s bitmain though so who knows what to expect. They either have a large quantity available .. or people are just not buying them like before. I’d like to see $1200-$1300 with power supply.  I think at current bitcoin prices that would be a reasonable price for the S9. I’ll keep waiting !

I am also considering the T9's provided the price right now. What do you mean by double power? Aren't they the same power as S9, but just lower hash rate (and supposedly more stable).

I think he means that as you need same power to have half less hasrate, you need around 2x more power to match S9 hashrate. So it's ok if you have good electricity price.

I can can vouch for the T9 (first model 12.5 Ths). Have units since the first batch was released (some were never turned off since Feb 2017), faced no issues so far (knock wood), same power supply, just opened once for cleaning. They generate more heat though and consume more power.

Looks like people only giving away the lower end ones that they can't sell. I sold all of my higher end coupons.

Man, really could use lower difficulty anf higher bitcoin prices or a good new sha256 algo coin to mine right now. It is getting tougher.

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

U mean your power supply uses more power as time pass by? U sure?

I feel like BTC needs to be about double what it is right now for mining to be ok. If it goes closer to $6000 I'm probably going to start unplugging machines and I have .08 kwh electric. It's just not worth it. All those guys with high electric like .35 kwh tier 3 have probably stopped mining already. LCC is another sha256 coin option but probably not better at the moment.

Hello experts,

Need to get your advise on something.

did any of you tried connecting 2 S9s to 1 5" exhaust? I am running out of space and need to "combine exhausts".

I am using a 1.5m length 5" ducting for each S9 and it appears that the 5" ducting can support more air flow as it is not that strong.

Thanks.

Couple of things, I used larger ducting to allow more air flow, and used PVC Tee pipe connections and in line fans to move the air.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Charlotte-Pipe-6-in-Dia-PVC-Sanitary-Tee-Fitting/3134659

Then an inline fan to pull the air flow. Use as short of HVAC tubing as possible, more air pockets the more your use. For inline fan, it takes about 250cfm (cubic feet per minute) per machine, so this fan below should work for three machines.

Yes, you can merge vent loines but don't let air flow get trapped Smiley

Make a box in the windows then duct into the box and put a big fan in the box pumping air out. That is what I did and was able to hookup 20 antminers to a small 1ft by 1 ft window.

I too bought 10 units a few weeks ago for 2500 shipped each after all said, and done. Then they sold 14th models for 1800+ with PSU! I am really pissed off, and I can't even sell my unit to break even, and it will take 13-14 months just to cover the cost of the miner even with my per KW rate is .06 cents and no rent. Sad

I feel like the only option now is to run them..don't really want to sell for a loss, when they are brand new, and just arrived. Sad

Just dropped the price again today.   Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yeah, the L3s I bought at $1270 with coupons are now listing for $855.   Considering mine have not shipped yet, and you can't cancel an order with Bitmain, feeling a bit, ah, "worked over".

14TH S9s now $1365, a new low for them.

Mined for a living since 2017.  Dabbled for years before that.
