I dont think it will but lets hope if some cryptocurrency will replace bitcoin it would be more secure and preserve the bitcoin ways of transacting anonymously . But for now there is no cyrptocurrency will replace bitcoin as bitcoin is the most powerful and marketized currency at present .

Even looking almost impossible, is letting some problems accumulate, and this can make the market swicth into another altcoin thas has less issues then has at the moment, eth, litecoin and some other new coins are ready to replace , the only thing they need is big investment and support since there is a huge difference between and others altcoins.
I agree and think that an altcoin could replace and that there are also other good coins out there. Bu i do not think that such a coin would need a big investment. What it needs is good support by the users and developers and most important it needs to make a name and get to be known widely. i don't think so that altcoin will ever be able to replace bitcoin because the fanbase of bitcoin is increasing way faster than the altcoin and the development infrastructure of bitcoin is much better than altcoin so i think we can't say altcoin an alternative to bitcoin..... bitcoin is way better than it and i think in future bitcoin will kill all other cryptocurrencies.....

Who will accept Bitcoin with recent scalability and fungibility issues? It is slow, consumers should pay fees for transactions, so how you expect it to be attractive to consumers? Also, blockchain is a monster of data and no one needs it. To users only matters their transactions. I'm definitely sure if Bitcoin doesn't change some other crypto will take a lead. Ethereum is slower than the turtle do not expect that they can dominate financial system. No one cares about avarage consumer, so how they can reach mainstream? It is to difficult to 70 years old daddy to download blockchain, secure his wallet and he doesn't know, why he needs it? Because only a few merchants accept Bitcoins and he even can't get a cup of coffe in his beloved cafe.

Only Ethereum is able to do this at the moment. I do not know may be in the near future there will be some kind of giant and will bypass all alternative cryptocurrency, but so far only Ethereum is a competitor for the top spot for Bitcoin. You have to understand that now the age of technology and Ethereum is a flexible technology unlike Bitcoin which is digital money.
Ethereum is definitely an interesting project, but the point is that there is no real world usage that suits the average people. People want a few things -- financial freedom -- transfer money without third party interference -- investment solution -- store of wealth solution. Bitcoin offers them exactly that. Why would anyone else want to make use of whatever altcoin just because they have all kinds of flashy features? All these features are nothing more than gimmicks. As shown in the Bitcoin is very difficult to make a decision, there are many opinions and branches that slows adoption of Segwit and Lightning network. When without these decisions the network will be critically overloaded, then many will understand problem of Bitcoin. In contrast, the Ethereum easier accepted solutions that benefit development of the network and project as a whole.

Bitcoin would be replaced by another cryptocurrency but I think it would happen for a very long time because we all know that bitcoin is very strong now and starting to developed even more and there are alts are keeping on chasing it to take the spot but they cant really break even on bitcoins reputation and value.

If talking about bitcoin in my own insight it will not be replaced with another crypto currency, because it has a very strong foundation nowadays due to people were more knowledgeable about its importance and the profits may bring to us. Its hard for other crypto currency to compet with btc because its the leading of all types of digital currency around the market of crypto currencies, even though there were many alternative coins.

Bitcoin getting replaced by some other digital currency, because none can be potential as bitcoin. Only based on bitcoin other cryptocurrencies grew, so always the one who initiated will be the leader.

Everyone thought that Bitcoin was going to be overtaken by Ethereum, but that never happened and hopefully it never does. Ethereum isn't really even a competitor for Bitcion. The price of it has been fairly static whereas the price of Bitcoin has been going up frequently. I doubt there will be an altcoin, capable of overtaking Bitcoin, getting released in the near future. Bitcoin definitely has a long life ahead of it.

Today, if someone said that bitcoin will be replaced by ETH, people would mostly disagree. But back then, when ETH was just released, a good part of the community believed ETH's promise to replace bitcoin. Yet here we are. Even though ETH wasn't able to replace bitcoin as of now, we can't dismiss the fact that all of these altcoins have a chance (although some are terribly small) to replace bitcoins someday.

In the my opinion, the Bitcoin will still dominate in a few years. Currently the value of Bitcoin is huge. It is most common to many people, some countries have recognized the currency Bitcoin. However, in the future, no one predict what, Bitcoin can be replaced by other cryptocurrency, Eth and some other currencies is promising but that is a very long time anymore. The important thing now is Bitcoin still great value

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
Why not? If Bitcoin is unable to keep up with the needs and requirements of digital transactions of a growing userbase and on a global scale (ie. transactions per second comparable to VISA's scale), there might be a successor that expands on the innovation that Bitcoin has originally introduced. That is not to say Bitcoin will be replaced -- but it certainly could be, and in the long run, it would surprise me if there are no serious competitors evolving that will question Bitcoin's superiority.

i think a time will come when bitcoin will be the first priority of the people to use, and not only for the online purpose but in real life also. if we analyse the bitcoin and other crypto currencies we can come to the conclusion that still bitcoin is the number one currency of the world, and hope that bitcoin will continue its status for ever.
I hope so too. As Bitcoin matures every day, it becomes used by more people, increasing its popularity and ability to reach mainstream status. When scalable solutions like SegWit become active, Bitcoin would surely gather the attention from people who are new to cryptocurrencies, to transact with Bitcoin for everyday payments. Unless another cryptocurrency comes up with a stable and innovative technology that it is out of this world, as well as address Bitcoin's issues, then BTC would remain the top cryptocurrency for years to come. Just my opinion.

I don't see that happening any time soon with the calibre of coins we have here nope. But in the future, I see countries now developing their own crypto currency which might reduce the dominance of bitcoin in respective countries but I still don't see nay other dominating or replacing bitcoin..

What most people seem to ignore or just what they do not see is, that other coins then Bitcoin can do other things and so the coins can coexist, since every coin serves a different purpose.

Dislodging Bitcoin is a difficult task but not unachievable. There have been a lot of other alt currencies (litecoin, etc) that have been popping up, but don't seem to have what Bitcoin does. I think down the road potentially, it may replaced bitcoin. Although, we must not forget that it’s been just a few years since the bitcoin came into existence and there’s still a long way to go.
