Do you believe in god? If you do, why do you believe? (give a few reasons)

Yes I do believed in God but not in god. Because there is only one God, the one who created everything in this world except on man made or invention by the scientist or specialist inventor. But in terms of nature, it is all God's created so thanks to Him.
Why do you think everything is created by God? The man is also nature, but it also does not create God. I'm four years already knew that there is no God. When you grow up you too will know this.
I'm a grown up, but the more I grow the more I believe in God also, because as far I can see science really do support the bible, and the reason I believe in God because there is something written there 2000 years ago, premonitions, prophecies are really happening right now, how could you even explain that? how can a man who doesn't have the slightest idea what a bacteria is be able to write premonitions that are happening right now without a mighty Someone guiding him?
If you're an adult, why do you believe the foreboding and prediction? It's all a hoax. The Bible says nonsense. Science does not confirm anything of what is written there, if it's not the geographical locations.

Like for ages, when none of the archaeological scientists could find Jericho, and they couldn't understand how the walls of a city could fall flat, so they called it nonsense.

Then they found Jericho, with its walls fallen flat.

Grown-ups test stuff before they call it nonsense or truth.

Why not..?.
I strongly believe in God. I believe in the creator who created us.
Everyday we should recall his reward such as life, the world, the sun, the moon and so on.
Obviously we all have to pray to the creator.

I don't pray to things which do not exist

Every religion has a creator god, and they are all different... thousands of different creator gods...

Which would I pray to?
Zeus, Odin, Allah, יהוה, Brahma, Amun, Quetzalcoatl, Vishvakarman, Enki, Hœnir?

Not all gods are telepathic, or care about my prayers...

Cool

I thought we have already established that God exists in people's minds.  It is not even a question.

Why you think HE exists anywhere else?
And please do not say entropy, cause and effect, complex world, 2nd law of thermodynamics or a Bible/Quran/Talmud or any other books.

Many characters exist in books.  Probably millions of them.

You are finally getting the point. You haven't even examined your own mind, yet.

God exists everywhere at the same time. Why would you think that there is somewhere that He might NOT exist?

Cool

You are talking about something that is 'undefined', 'unknown' that might exist 'somewhere'.  That surely narrows it down LOL.

You are broadening the definition of God because the parts of nature that are not understood are getting smaller and smaller.
So you have to move God from what is known to the unknown.  So that God remains mysterious, undetectable, unknown and undefined.

If you asked someone around 33 BC where is God, they would point at the sky and tell you he is just above the fluffy white stuff.
He sits on his throne and watches your every move.

Actually, I am talking about God that you don't know doesn't exist.

Until you admit that atheism doesn't exist, it is totally valueless talking about some of the attributes of God, or some of the things that He has done.

After you admit that He might exist, then we can start to go in depth as to whether or not He DOES exist. Once we determining that He DOES exist, then we can go into His attributes and doings.

Apathetic agnosticism
A view related to apatheism, apathetic agnosticism claims that no amount of debate can prove or disprove the existence of one or more deities, and if one or more deities exist, they do not appear to be concerned about the fate of humans. Therefore, their existence has little to no impact on personal human affairs and should be of little interest. It can be summarized by the statement "I don't know and I don't care."

Just mentioned this in another thread as well, some god like being might or might not exist but it really doesn't matter.

But if God is as aware of, and as sensitive to, your thinking as He is powerful, you probably should care.

Nope my life never has been influenced by a God(And if it somehow has been I couldn't notice and I shouldn't care) and probably never will be so I don't care. Then again my life has also never been influenced by god not existing so neither do I care about any God not existing.

I'm just asking a simple question... which god should I pray to and how do I know it's the right god?

Why not pray to faeries, or dragons, or unicorns?

I don't claim that no gods exist, only that there is no more evidence for any god as there is for faeries, unicorns, or leprechauns... and i wouldn't bet on any of them existing

You are an Atheist with respect to 5000+ gods... you don't believe there is evidence for any of them either... Zeus, Amun, Quetzalcoatl?

Those jokers are not Hebrews. They are Jews.

Besides, they do not describe God, even if some of them are Hebrew. The last of the Bible was written almost 2,000 years ago. So, it wasn't written by any of them.

I think there's some possibility that what you said is true, but read my statement again: Even if he influenced my whole life, I don't care because his would be influence is unnoticable and thus of no importance to me. So I'm not trying to prove or disprove anything here, I'm just stating why I don't care about the whole issue and why other people shouldn't care about it either.

Quite the opposite. Your entire being is influenced by Him in all-encompassing detail. He is the reason you even exist, are alive and can think.

Cool

Nope my life never has been influenced by a God(And if it somehow has been I couldn't notice and I shouldn't care) and probably never will be so I don't care. Then again my life has also never been influenced by god not existing so neither do I care about any God not existing.

Your whole being and life are held in place by God. If you don't think so, where is the proof?

Cool

Your imagination is running in overdrive.  Give it a rest.  Tomorrow is another day to continue your fantasy...
I think that everyone has the right to their religion and have their thoughts towards God. But I find it cynical to speak out on this issue inappropriate for all parties to the conflict.

How would you feel if the president of your country said that he is Napolean and he talks to zombies all the time and he flies on winged horses at night?

That is how I feel when I listen to what Christians politicians say what they believe.  What some schmuck like BADecker or CoinCube think does not matter, but when they elect schizophrenic idiots, that is where you have to stand up and say enough is enough.

We have Mormons who believe in magic garments for crying out loud!!!  Pure insanity.

I wish humanity wakes up and learns some science.

Magic underwear is totally legit

I'm not even a Mormon and I wear them

I've never had a knife, bullet, fire, or evil spirit penetrate them, ever... not even a little bit
