Hey, Nick here. Planning on purchasing a new laptop with 6990m's in Crossfire. Figure I could put it to a little work while I'm not using it.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Howdy Yall.

Ken from Oklahoma here.   Not sure how many miners are out here in Oklahoma, but I've been mining for about 2 months now.

Looking forward to participating on the forums.   All the best.

Hi,
Started with bitcoin in Jul 2010, got some coins then completely forgot about it until Jun 2011 with all the buzz about it again.

Hi! I'm Catherine and I've been involved in bitcoin and lurked here for a while but never signed up for the forum. I've managed to lose money on my "investment" so far but it's not putting me off - I think this is a really interesting experiment so I'm pretty excited to be a part of it ;-)

I'm a researcher in technology ethics and I'm currently doing a survey on bitcoin users, so if you'd like to help me out with my research please check the following link!

Thanks very much!

Hi i'm Alex, i'm from austria and i've been mining for bitcoins for about two months now (and for solidcoins lately^^) with my 6970, which has watercooling so so i don't go deaf when sitting right next to it ;-)

We are a Pony Collective seeking to establish the Ponycoin as a new successful cryptocurrency for everypony.
The Ponycoin will feature dashingly fast transactions and will let you mine for hooves and other pony stuff.

I'm John, I just have a single 5770, but i'm hoping to get 1-2 more, if I can talk the wife into it.  Just started mining, I don't even have 1 BTC yet, but I'm really diggin the feel of everything.

Hi to all
Im new to mining but about two month old bitcoin enthusiast

With 2x 5770 nad 2x 6950 in 3 different machines, giving my best to make network more redundant....

I don't whine when difficulty goes up, that means we grow which is good thing.

Also we don't have to pity ourselves because we are not mainstream.... revolutionaries were never mainstream...in the begining...

bitcoins are pretty cool. it takes too long to convert $ to bitcoins though - too many hoops to jump through  Angry now i find myself wanting to purchase something with bitcoins and being BTC0.3 short but needing to wait another day, or two, or three, or whatever for my deposit to clear so i can trade for bitcoins. blah. just blabbing.
