Hi, I'm new to this forum although I have been reading it for quite a while.

Were 'newbies' just recently restricted to this part of the forum? I was under the impression that I had posted some replies in other parts.

Anyhow, I am very enthusiastic about bitcoins and their potential to even the playing field. I am working on projects that I hope to share in the future. I look forward to contributing to the success of bitcoins however I can. Smiley

How many posts does one need to no longer be considered a newbie?

Hello Bitcoin faithful,

I have been arguing in favor of Bitcoin for a while now in certain online communities. I have also profited a good deal on Bitcoin, both in taking having a long-term view of its success, and taking advantage of its price volatility (and thereby helping to stabilize the currency).

I have also sent a detailed email to Ron Paul requesting that he give a statement on Bitcoin.

As an experiment, I am now loaning BTC to those who desire to short bitcoin; I encourage haters to put their money where their mouth is.

Hi - I'm "88bitcoins". About to clear a space to set up my new rig. Excited and my motherboard is very sharp looking.

Was mining bitcoins on my Macbook (A1278) laptop (cpu) just for fun back when they were 25 cents, then blew it all on a silly bet.

Back then I just got a kick out of counting the number of "Yays" I got a day.

Coulda-woulda-shoulda, but life got in the way and it's still better late than never.

Not phased by either the volatility, the haters, or the fact that I waited so long to take real action.

Just quickly, my new rig includes Asrock M3A770DE motherboard with two Sapphire 5830 graphics cards and a Rosewill power supply. It's modest and pretty much all I could afford at the moment. Thought I'd be able to re-appropriate more components or at least a case from one of the older towers I have lying around, but no such luck. Oh well.

Gotta go to put it together now. Unfortunately clearing a space for it while my place is in a state of chaotic renovation is going to take as long or longer than getting the rig up and running.

later...

Hey everyone.  Djproject here.  Really looking forward to the world of bitcoin.  Thinking of what sorts of services and products I can sell to add to the bitcoin economy.

I'm loving the whole Bitcoin thing - it's just a pity I can't store my Bitcoins in my sporran. Smiley

Hello everybody!

I discovered Bitcoin just a few days ago, but since there's something wrong with my Catalyst Driver, I can't update it to support OpenGL...
So here I am now, thinking of 'selling' some services instead of mining.

Languages that I speak: Dutch (mother language) and English

UK based.

Ready to support any viable-looking initiative that offers the prospect of weakening the stranglehold of the banking cartels on the creation and control of the means of exchange.
