Introducing myself. I haven't used a forum in a long time. I'm planning on running some Bitcoin contests if there's any interest.

I'm Batman.

Where's Harvey?

To stay on topic, I've browsed these forums for months without joining, but I figured it was time to officially join the bitcoin community. I'm currently running a ~4 GH/s system, making ~$400 in BTC, while only costing $30 in electricity. I've got ASIC preorders to bring my setup to 720GH/s, hopefully within the next 2 months. There will certainly be interesting times ahead for bitcoin!

Hey gang. Just learned about Bitcoins. On Bitcoin friday. Hope to find out more. And earn a few bitcoins.
Long live capitalism!

Cheers.

For the record, I know this guy personally, and I'm helping him get started with Bitcoins.

New here, and new to Bitcoin as well. Have tried to get into it a while back, but not much people were using it then. Not to mention how complex it was (is!) to understand and use it. Especially mining, ugh..

Will be trying to sell iPhone unlocking services, and hopefully I can earn some bitcoins soon Smiley

Hi, I've started a blog http://cryptonomics.org that will have some posts relevant to bitcoin. The first post http://cryptonomics.org/2012/11/10/the-velocity-and-dormancy-of-bitcoin/ could have fit this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=119465.0

yeah, for those that preordered ASICs early, there will be, gpu users are finished. you will make a good money with this setup if you are among the first to receive the product

I'm johnniewalker! I'm interested in conducting business in the marketplace section. I have a variety of goods I'm interested in and will have an ever-changing supply of goods to offer. Primarily (as you may have guessed by my name) I am interested in brewerania, rare alcohol, foreign alcohol, etc. If you are looking for anything along those lines, I'm your man! Nice to meet everyone Smiley

Hello everyone! I'm new to bitcoins and I'm from the Philippines. I got interested on learning about it after I have read the bitcoin article from the Mashable website.

I tried to mine on a pool (btcguild) using my ATI5870m and boy I'm halfway through to get my first BTC0.10 as that's the lowest cashout value that they allow. I just manage to get around 100-104Mhash/sec on my gpu and I just tried it for fun even though I know that it's not worth the electricity consumption that I have to pay. After my cashout, I'd stop mining with my laptop Grin as I don't want to stress my gpu.

I hope to learn more about bitcoins and I'm looking forward to have a great time in this forum  Cheesy

Hello!

I am on an assignment to build an experimental framework where bitcoins or similar crypto-currencies are used as "lubricant" when passing information around. Instead of having people paying for information, I want to try to see if people are willing to pay to get other people to read their specific messages.

The first and obvious target of this experiment being e-mail & spam.

The notion that a small (volontary) fee attached to an email will make spamming much harder has been proposed before (see hash cash and similar), but with the relative convenience of bitcoin micro payments, this has a real potential to be the first killer-app for bitcoin.

About myself, I am a seasoned programmer among other things, dating back to the more civilized age of BASIC/FORTH/LISP/ASSEMBLER/PASCAL.

Having used C/C++/Java professionally for many years.

My newest conquest is managing a L.A.M.P. server with php5.

I have also been allocated a small amount of bitcoins (no that in itself won't make anyone rich :-) to purchase help online with various tasks concerning this setup.
