I'm a web developer trying to start a site dealing with Namecoins and .bit domains! It turned out to be a bit more difficult that I initially thought but things are looking very good now. Please try it out if you have time, you can do it totally free by transferring a domain to the site (transfer in and out is free). dotbit.meRegards, Tagide

I'm Drazisil. net stalkers can find me other places. I'm saying hi to get a post in and also to say that I'm here to ask if I'm wasting my time trying to use the AMD E-300 APU. Even if it's AMD, it's still pretty bad, I know...but I'd really like to be able to mine coins. Yes, I already know to be in a pool. EDIT: I'm also very good at typos.

Wow this is the 664th post!
Part of history or waste of time?
Anyway I am in the process of figuring out just how the f*** do you buy bitcoins if you are British! I mean we conquered the waves and stuff but compared to buying a bitcoin that was a walk in the park lol.

Hi, I've been reading up on Bitcoin for the past few weeks, and I think it's time I finally joined the forum! My username is based on a mining reference, I thought it was very clever for about a minute.

Hello. I'm Tia. Trying to get setup with a few pc's to start mining Btc... Having a little bit of a hard time understanding which bitcoin-qt wallet code to use for the mining parameter of account name. Do I use the one that is listed for receiving bitcoins? Do I use the one listed in the Address book? Can't seem to find an answer to this.

please do so! and get a post don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off. relax take it easy and smile. Mod note: If you see anyone spamming this thread, please report it. Spam will result in an immediate ban.A bit strange for me not to be able to post as a newbie but, hey rules are rules right?! LOL

Unless if I'm misunderstanding, you're trying to set up a mining tool. What tool are you trying to set up to mine with? Unless if you have special hardware, I believe it's recommended that you mine for a pool, probably using guiMiner and poclbm. I don't believe you're looking for the one listed in address book, unless if you're referring to setting up a pool's payout address. I personally use deepbit.net, but the most popular one according to http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ is BTC Guild. You should be able to find more detailed instructions on how to set up a miner w/ the pool on those sites. I hope I didn't make too many assumptions, and that you figure it out xD

Never mind, I saw the rules! Heh. Sorry for flooding this thread. Why can't I reply to threads in other forums? Can I only use the Newbie forum to up my post count so I can be "established"? TIA~

Just introducing myself...
Been involved with BitCoin for about three weeks now. Getting into mining. Went the "easy" route using coinbase.com for my ewallet, and bitminter.com for the mining. Have two machines mining (Windows with a 5850 and CentOS Linux with a 5830), making a total of about 0.02-0.03 BTC a day on average. Just added a new HD7990 to my wife's computer today, so will see how that helps out.

Hello folks. This is Squik. I've been into bitcoins since a couple weeks before the 2011 crash. I've been lurking these forums all week, so once I can post there, you'll see me in the Mt.Gox tracking thread mostly.
