Hey there. Big into finance/economics. First discovered back in 2010 while digging around in reddit. Looked into it, hate myself for not getting into it. Now Im curious and poking about.

greetings.  I''ve been watching bitcoin since early 2011.   My searches for reviews on merchants and exchanges keep leading me back here, so I decided I'd create an account.

A question:  if you didn't buy early, what is the best way to profit now?  Sell some sort of goods for bitcoin?  Buy shares in ASICMINER?

I was told about bitcoins in college, some time in the '09-'10 school year. And like Wyzen posted above me, I regret not getting involved back then. I'm in the financial industry, trading commodities.

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

... so yeah, I was looking into solar powered mining (low wattage system does = to low hashing rate sadly) but that makes it basically 100% profit to me (unless I buy up the battery and panels)

Still confused by the concept of pool mining and what "shares" are

hello, I am a miner, have been for about half a year, recently bought a BFL little single, really hope that works out.
Recently got into selling bitcoins that I had been accumulating.
Trying to figure out how to buy on mtgox though from the looks of it that site is kinda crappy to be honest.

Hey guys. I bought my first BTC on valentines day and I've been on a rollercoaster of a ride ever since. With what has happened in the market these past few days I'm glad we have this community where (for the most part) everyone is at worst civil and at best friendly and helpful.

All of us together is the unity, the one god.

One has been aware of the coin since the end of 2012, one wishes one had started a mining rig at the time... Is it ever late for mining? It seems as if one could sustain a profitable mining operation even now as the coin market is still in its relative infancy.

ASIC only mining rig is the way to go it would seem from what I have read here. Trading coins might even be better financially speaking but where is the fun in that?

btctalk.org seems to me an excellent community of puter fanatics, where have I been  Shocked

Hello!  I started mining for a bit about 4 years back.. Then Quit and then started up again a few months ago when I realized the graphics card sits idle most of the time when I'm just doing word processing even though I have a 5770!  Kinda a nice way to offset the electric bill I guess?

Hi I'm new here! I've known about bitcoins for a while now. I remember hearing about them when I read about getting to the hidden wiki. I've been watching all this madness since sunday and it's pretty interesting to me so I decided to start an account here.
