Genoil is crashing quite a bit.
That's true But sometimes can work up to 5-7 hours very stable - no idea what affects on it I updated to v0.5 and used johnlee's script to reset the miner every 5 hours (I changed this to every 3 hours now). After a while, I see weird stats on flypool... so i swicthed to nanopool (atm, half the hash size of flypool) and so far so good.... keep finger's crossed Is everything ok for you with nanopool so far ? I started few hours ago , and my calculated hashrate seems ok , but nothing in the confirmed balance , and unconfirmed balance (what is that ) grow slower than the flyppol balance. And I don't see any worker listed in the worker tab, but my total hashrate is recognised. What do you think ?

Do you guys change some settings inside genoil to improve hashrate or stability ?

Phil, So you think quad core can do 40Sol/s? In this case 8 cores will do just 80 - so no need to buy such expensive CPU Thank you for links! I'm waiting your updates on 4th

Link for reference . Genoil is crashing quite a bit. Flypool was having an issue causing miners to crash and make 0sols gpus

I have a new monitoring script if y'all would like it. It looks for things in the command line like job failed and if a gpu crashes and resets the miner It not longer resets after so many seconds it only resets if a problem happens like watchdog on claymore

Might be nice to have. The script I used did not work well. Right now I run genoil with -g 0. Which gives me 1 gpu per pc and it shares with claymore. I run Eth claymore with does the rest of the gpus Result is say 3.5 of 4 gpus doing Eth. And .5 of 1 gpu doing zec. It is stable so far.

Claymore says he will be ready with his ZEC miner ins a few days (that was few days ago). I stopped meddling with ZEC pools and genoil.... I just left it at nanopool and flypool with half baked genoil v0.5 resetting every 3-5 hours - it ain't elegant but i prefer to save my energy and wait for Claymore's ZEC miner.

I'm trying now with genoil6 + nanopool because it's not stable with flypool . (genoil 5 was not stable with fly but ok with nano)
I don't understand the -k zec feature. Can someone explain ?
and I what is the z without the - ? in the nanopool help , they put x (-p x) instead of z (-p z)

-k zec means it opens only one instance on the gpu -k zec zec means it opens only two instances on the gpu the more zec zec you have the more hashs you get but the load gets heavier on the gpus with more than two zecs -p means password it can be anything

-k zec is how many instances of the silent army kernel to run, by default is 2 so zec zec I think you make it 1 zec for cards that can handle it or 3 for better cards -p (lower case) is password so you can put whatever after the space as value, z or x or abc or whatever.

I shut down all cpu mining and gpu hashrate increased way more ... I lost lot of time and money because of it but now I can try to recover a little ... Genoil 6 seems to stay stable with nanopool by the way.

Thank you both for the answer.
I was stupid about the -p , too much headache with the others problems... lol
But still not sur about the zec zec feature, should we try zec zec zec for better results and decrease if it's not stable ?
